Schlafly Belgian-Style Golden Ale opens with a fruity nose and rounded sweetness that compose a pale and balanced beer. Hallertau hops lend a hint of spice that balances the aroma and flavor of orchard fruit. Similar to our Belgian Tripel, but with a lighter body and a crisper finish, it is the perfect introduction to the family of Belgian beers renowned for their complexity and delicacy.

This was quite good. A very bubbly aroma and tons of zest and tingliness in the body as well. An imminently enjoyable beer.

This is a really good Golden Age. The Belgian yeast and good selection of hops lends this beer the slightly sour, citrusiness that make it so good.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste belgian yeast, sweet, fruity. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow with a small white head. Some good lacing. Nose is bread and overripe apple. Taste is apple pie, earth, a little bit of hops. Smooth.

Tasted on tap at the brewpub in a snifter tulip. It poured a nice orange-amber colour with deep, fluffy white foam, everlasting with sticky Belgian lace. Aromas and flavours of grain, white crackers, active bread dough and freshly baked French baguette, grassy noble hops, tangy bitterness, fruity esters, black pepper and bubble-gum phenols. Light body, strong carbonation, crisp and snappy mouthfeel, complex aftertaste which lingers. I agree with Vyvvy, this is a really delicious beer. I liked it almost as much as their beloved Belgian Singel, and much prefer it to their Tripel. Highly recommended.

Gold with lasting lacy white head; aroma of apples and yeast; Flava of grain ape and yeast; feels medium creamy with nice sharp fizziness; finishes dry slightly bitter with crisp sweet and tart apple notes

Tasting notes from 6/21 Joplin Macadoodles Beerfest: This was definitely my favorite new sample at the Beerfest. Good aroma, well-balanced spices, and an exceptionally crisp flavor. No funk or Brett. I normally prefer the darker, stronger Belgians, but this is an outstanding example of the regular style. Great stuff!

Pours bright and clear golden / yellow with a good sized white head. The aroma is almost like a cross between a Belgian ale and a pilsner. There seems to be a clean pilsner malt and spicy grassy hops that are like a pilsner along with fruity funkiness from Belgian yeast. There is also a touch of cracker and sulfur and a nice dryness to it. Medium / thin body that’s crisp at first, but then has a sticky velvety body and a modest amount of semi-sharp carbonation. There is more of a fruitiness to the taste than on the aroma a less of the pilsner, but still seems like a cross between the two. It’s way to easy drinking and refreshing to believe it is 7% abv as well. The finish has a lot spiciness to it and a hint of richness. Really nicely crafted US take on a Belgian golden.

Pours an attractive golden with a medium off white head with excellent lacing. Nose is honeyed sweetness with pears and apples. There is a perfume of flowers. There is a faint coriander note. There is a candied orange peel note. Flavor is very sweet. There is no bitterness. There is no hops character at all. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Slight wheat flavor at the end. Very good.
