COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly IPA is a session IPA, a smooth golden ale packed with the bold flavor and aroma of American hops. We crafted it in the spirit of the low gravity IPAs common in the UK where the style stands for hoppy, not heavy.

Can. Pours a clear dark coppery co;or with a nice head that fades to some lacing. Light aroma of citrus, malt sweetness, a touch herbal with spice in the background. Taste of pine, malt, caramel sweetness with a bit of herbs. Nice bitterness with a clean-dry finish. Medium body, crisp and refreshing. Nicely balanced. Enjoyable beer that is good for a few.

Sampled at Ft. Wayne Beer-Bacon Fest. Buttery caramel malt, citrusy grassy hops aroma. Clear brassy gold with a moderate off-white head. Biscuity caramel malt, musty orange and herbal hops flavor. Body on the light side of medium, average carbonation. Pleasant and easy drinking.

Poured from can. Hop and spruce aroma. Really cloudy orange with lacing. Seems to be some sediment floating about. I taste pine, grapefruit and grassy hops with malt and pepper. Nicely drinkable even with all the hops. Decent brew.

Pours a hazy yellow with a thick white head, loads of citrus on the nose, the taste is a bit subdued, but really good. A good amount of citrus and pines, not a lot bitterness, slightly dry finish.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a transparent light golden orange with white lacing. Smells nice and hoppy with a light pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant bitterness. Solid on the palate. A good example of the style.

Bubbly, well-carbonated head due to canning. Finger-length. Aroma is caramel malt and some pine to start before becoming more citrus/floral; classic IPA aromas, in essence. Flavor is malty with slight piney hop and a little bit of tea. Palate somewhat watery. Nonetheless, a decent session IPA. Not a catty mess like some others in this sub-style, or even Schlafly’s American IPA, which I found unbearable.

Drank out of a can. Aroma is citric and piney. Taste is heavy on the citrus small metallic taste due to the can. Small bitter aftertaste. Better then I thought it was going to be, quite surprised

On tap @ Brass Monkey, NY. Clear deep golden color with thin creamy white head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of strong citrus and floral hops, grassy, biscuit malt and mild yeast. Taste starts with moderate sweet malt, following is citric and grassy sour, while finish is moderate bitter with long aftertaste. Full body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pleasantly refreshing everyday IPA...

Pours a light clear orange. Has a faint aroma of hop, citrus, floral, and light malt. Has a watered down taste to start. Then the taste is light citrus hop and grapefruit with a light hop bitter aftertaste.

Reddish golden colored pour. Lively mouthfeel and lots of orange citrus hops and malt.
