3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crisp and clear golden coloured body with a light hazy bronze glow and a very thin, half centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of light hops with cascade notes, hints of perfume and a touch of light grapefruit. Light-bodied; Sharp hoppy flavour of the cascade, citrus, piney and floral hop flavours with a touch of yeast and the slightest hint of alcohol noticeable. Aftertaste shows a proper balance of hops and malt for the light IPA style with an emphasis on the citrus and perfumey qualities and they show well. Overall, a very nice beer for the style with a very easy-to-drink mouthful, yet still full of hops and not cloying at all make this very nice and worth searching out for. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom), D.C. on 14-August-2014 for US$1,99 sampled at home here in Washington on 22-November-2014.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Transfer from BA review on 5-9-13-
Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nice amber color with a two finger pure white head. The head has a decent level of retention, with big bubbles popping in the head to leave a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is of grapefruit and grassy hop, much stronger then would have been expected for a 4.5 % abv brew. Mixed with the hop is a very light fruit aroma of a citrus and tropical fruits as well as a little bit of a of caramel smell.
Taste – While the smell is much bigger then would have been expected, the taste is rather spot on for a 4.5 % brew (well maybe slightly more flavorful). The taste begins with a rather decent amount of a grapefruit hop flavor which is quite nice. The only problem is that the light malt flavor and bit of citrus sweet flavors that begin the taste are quite thin and cannot support the hop. Toward the middle the grapefruit begins to fade in intensity along with the malty flavors fading as well. This creates a rather watery taste in the middle of the flavor profile. This is temporary however, as toward the end more grapefruit hop as well as some grassy hop flavors come to the tongue. Along with these hop flavors so too comes a bit of a bready flavor which when all combined leave a crisp, moderately hoppy and thinner body malt flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the brew is on the watery and thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The carbonation, if higher, may have been better for the thinner malt flavors of the brew while a slightly thicker body may have supported the hop better (although I must say that that is a hard thing to achieve with only a 4.5 % abv brew).
Overall – If looking for a session brew that has little alcohol and has a decent hop taste, then this is a good go to. While not as good as Stone Levitation as a hopped session, it is noteworthy. In a session style situation a 6 pack will give a decent hop fix without a whole lot of alcohol.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A medium intensity aroma of floral hops with citrus and pine as well as traces of plum and orange. Good looking beer with a small white head on a light;y carbonated, clear golden body. Taste disappoints after such a great aroma. It is a mild floral and pine taste with a thin watery body and not much aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the STL airport. Pours hazy amberish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of earthy grass hops with a touch of resin and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor is similar with a bit sweeter, but still earthy, citrus, a bit of grass and grain underlying.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Schlafly Tap Room, Lambert Airport edition. Just listed as IPA, but apparently that’s this. Clear golden pour with a white head. Nose has a bit of a cracker note to it and is a touch on the soapy side. Lots of floral hops, though, and a nice citrus character. Perhaps a touch too bitter on the palate. Soap, lots of citrus rind, and pine. Somewhat grassy, too. Only a mild malt sweetness, more along the lines of dry, crackery malt.
