12 oz. bottle compliments to Queenholly. As I popped the cap I could smell the spices. Nothing like a little Christmas in February! Nice amber pour with thick fluffy head that fizzled and slowly died. Nose is clove, spice and caramel. The orange peel is the main spice I get followed by nutmeg and cinnamon with light toffee notes from the malt. Lightly dry finish. I like that this brewer took a slightly different take on a spiced brew. Reminds me a bit of spiced cake. It drinks like a 5 % brew. Overall, I enjoyed this.

Pouts amber with little white head. Aroma is sweet malts, Clove, ginger, citrus. Taste is like it smells with more sweet and less spice, a little alcohol on the aftertaste. Not bad, but their pumpkin is better

Clear copper color with little head and lacing. Smell clove and caramel malt in aroma with hints of orange peel. Taste the clove with some ginger and that orange peel. Malt backbone provides sweetness. Slight astringency mid palate with spicy, dry finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin with moderate carbonation. Much like their pumpkin ale but with orange instead of pumpkin. Spicing isn't overdone which is nice, making it more pleasant and drinkable. Alcohol is hidden well.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jgb9348 (4027) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Nice crisp copper coloured body with a bright amber, ruby and orange tint and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head - nice. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, figs, earth and bunches of spices - allspice, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Medium-bodied; Strong spicey flavour at first with alcohol also noticeable, but the spice warmth starts with nutmeg and hits coriander seed, cardamom and juniper berries. Aftertaste is potent with the roasted malt and pit fruits the strongest, but the bitterness from spices is also noticeable and showing relatively well. Overall, a nice spiced beer with some good flavours, but not too much to be cloying or overpowered - a nice beer for sure and good for winter. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Red, White & Bleu in Falls Church, Virginia on 23-November-2012 for US$2.99 sampled at home on this, the twelve day of Christmas, 06-January-2013 in Washington.

Very dark red but somewhat clear. Deep dark caramel. A lot of spice. Clove. Subtle nutmeg.

Transparent chestnut color with a thin white head. Aroma is not far off from a pumpkin spiced beer, but with brighter citrusy hop notes. Taste is the same, with the earthiness, but not so much citrus or hops, just a well rounded spice beer that isn’t cloying or medicinal as I thought it might be. $2/12oz

12 ounce bottle poured a darker orange color, with aromas of spice, light orange with some caramel. Flavors are the same as the aroma, more spice in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Cinnamon, orange, and caramel aroma. Amber with a moderate ivory head, decent lacing. Flavor is just a big overwhelming spice bomb, which almost obscured what little bit of sweet malt I was able to detect.. Medium body and carbonation. I may as well have been chewing on a cinnamon stick. This one lacks balance. Looking at some of the other ratings, I seem to be in a minority on this one.
