This beer was ok, it had a weird flavor. I think it migh have been the orange flavor.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 12/23/12

Aroma: The nose is full of winter spice, with some cookie, caramel, and orange/citrus
Appearance: It pours a clear reddish color with a small off-white head and minimal lace
Flavor: The flavor is fairly spicy as well, malty and fairly sweet, with a little bit of alcohol as well
Palate: The body is medium, it has an average-to-lively carbonation, and some mild heat
Overall Impression: I thought this was an alright example of a winter warmer. They didn’t do anything wrong, but maybe I just expected a little better example from Schlafly. It isn’t bad, it just isn’t well rounded enough.

The taste of the nutmeg and clove spice come through very strong but is in no way overpowering. Taste of the season for sure.

Consumed Dec. 2013. Pours a dark amber with moderate head, diminishing. Definitely spices infused through the finish. Nice to sip on a few, but just not my thing. I will say most who tasted enjoyed this beer.

From a bottle...nondeScript aroma. Beer is overloaded with holiday spices and a malt backbone. Not really my thing but, for an 8%, still easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
