A variation on our recent seasonal Porter, it is infused with toasted coconut and roasted cocoa nibs. Akin to drinking a liquefied Mounds candy bar without the cloying sweetness. Think of it as beer candy…

From an old scrap of paper with some tasting notes. Draft from the Bottleworks. Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aromas of cocos dust, dark chocolate and a good roasted malt note. Subtle nuances of anise and cookie dough. Full bodied with a malt dominant palate and a solid effervescence that adds to the zestiness of the body. Good roast and a sweet drinker!

Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has cocoa, roasty malt, hints of coconut and light veggies. Medium / thin body that starts smooth then gets a little rough and has semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts out with cocoa, dark caramel, smooth roast, very light coconut, some minerals and a spiciness that seems like it is from hops, but not sure. The finish has more chocolate coming out. The beer is a lot drier than expected as well. Quite nice variation.

Draft at The Tap Room. Pours a pretty much opaque chocolate brown color with a small beige head. Aroma of cocoa nibs, nuts, tobacco, coconut, coffee, toasted brown sugar, and earth. Flavor of coffee, cocoa nibs, caramel, tobacco, syrup, cola, nuts, and burnt toast. Medium body with low carbonation and a roasty, nutty mouthfeel. Nice variation on their Porter.
