Tasted on-tap 9/17/2011 at the Hop in the City Festival in a clean half-pint taster glass. Balanced, smooth, and slightly higher gravity than a typical lager. True-to-style but forgettable. A good gateway to better craft beers, I suppose.

Draft sample at Hop in the City 2010. Pours a clear pale yellow-gold color with a small frothy white head. Aroma of pils malts, straw, apples, grains, spicy hops, and grass. Flavor of pils malts, spicy hops, straw, white grapes, apples, and cereal. Light-bodied, with subtle carbonation and a crisp palate. Not too far off from a Dortmunder Gold, which is saying a lot.

on tap-pours a white head and yellow color. Aroma is slightly sweet grain/light malt, some earthy hops.

On draft at The Tap Room. Clear golden with a small head. Simple and crisp. A bit of honey and malt. Not a lot going on but enjoyable and refreshing.

On tap at the Tap Room. Pours a clear pale gold with a small white head. Nice, clean bready/doughy malt nose. Light-bodied and finely effervescent with a clean, crisp finish. The flavor follows the nose: simple, yet quite satisfying. Nice example of the style.

Draft… Clear yellow lager with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is mostly toffee and honey with just a touch of acetaldehyde. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor is of mash and honey with a bit too much acetaldehyde for my overly sensitive system. Sweet, green apple, drying finish.

Found this brew on tap on 6-11-09 visit. Arrived in a pils glass a clear golden color with about a 1/4 inch thick white head and a fairly high carbonation rate. Aroma is mostly a light Saaz-ish hops arom, light apple and a light pils malt grainy note. Flavor is similar to aroma with the pils, apple with slight green grape sweetness and light spicy hops melding to make the flavor for this brew. Overall the beer has a very crisp, clean and well balance flavor and a brew that is perfect for the summer heat in St. Louis. Even a non-beer head/macro drinker (Busch Light) who was with me thought this was a great beer.

On tap at the brewery. Light golden see through yellow color. Light aromas of apple and malt. Lovely medium body with a very well balanced malt/hop combination. Very true to style. Glad the bartendar recommended it!
