tap-hop in the city 05-pours golden yello with a fizzy white head. saaz, grassy hop aromas dominate. flavors are grassy, spicy hops and some lightly toasted malts. pretty decent balance. grainy finish. pretty true to style here.

Sampled at GTMW. This beer pours to a huge frothy head with a gold body. The is a light sour aroma and light toasted grains. The flavor is a toasted malt with a light sour flavor.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2005 Lightly sweet malty aroma with some flowery hop perfume and lingering notes of honey. Clear, pale golden color with a slight, fine head and spidery wisps of lace. Flavor is very nicely balanced throughout, with pale malt sweetness and crackery notes contributed by the malts meeting the herbal, lightly flowery, peppery hops which yield a moderate amount of bitterness. Some spicy, green hop notes late. Palate is refreshing and lightly effervescent, body is light-medium. Actually quite enjoyable and easy to drink. I’m afraid I’m unconcerned about its adherence to style or lack thereof. This is a fine spring-summer choice.

from a growler. golden yellow with a decent head that hangs around like an unwanted house guest. ;eaves a trailing lace throughout. wheaty aroma that is a little raw. first impression of this is that it would make a damn fine beer after doing some yard work. very clean and refreshing. earthy slight orange or someother sitrus mixes with the overall nutty flavor. enjoyable except for a bit of an alcohol flavor that creeps in as i drink further down.

This beer was sampled off of the tap at the Tap Room in downtown St Louis. This beer poured a very light yellow color with a thin white head. I mean this beer was totally clear with a slight hint of carbonation. The aroma is wheaty with some hops and its incredibly doughy. The taste is dark and roasty with some nuts, ginger, and sweet vegetables. The problem is the the finish is slightly malty but incredibly astringent and bitter. As I drank more of this beer it made less and less sense. Syrupy astringent finish...not very pleasant.

Lager gold color with no head by the time I got it. Hops aroma--some pine. Solid enough malt backbone, with citrussy hops predominating.

This rating was from the Hop In The City event where brews from the previous year were sampled (5 oz) by the attendees from kegs. This brew poured a medium head of fine to large sized mostly lasting white bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body. THe aroma was ,atl;y and fruity while the mouthfeel was smooth and slightly biting. The malt hop flavor was somewhat acidic.
