Tap: Clear dark straw with a very persistent head. . . Strong hop aroma with a great caramel malt character. . . Bittersweet honey and an awesome sweet candy hop presence. Fabulous palette and finish, a very well done dormunder!

Tap at the brewpub, thanks Drew. The body was light pale gold with a white head that stuck well to the sides of the glass. The taste was meaty and full with some some earthy mushrooms. The aroma was sweet bread and apples. This hit me just right. An excellent beer.

A pale lager with flavor made in Saint Louis???? I found this one at the Schlafly Taproom. Lovely floral hop aroma, perfectly balanced lots of body and just enough hops in the finish.

05 hop in the city in KC. I don’t know a lot about this style, but this was a fine beer. It was a straw/golden color. It had a sticky with head, and some visable carbonation. A nice herbal hop aroma, and some grainyness. Fuller bodied than I would have expected. Medium carbonation. I would love to see this one on the shelves in KC.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2003 Clear deep golden in color with a small white head that doesn't last very long, Bready and flowery aromas, starts sweet and bready with a hint of grains, light to medium bodied, nice smooth mouthfeel, finishes and crisp and dry, very tasty and drinkable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Indra (2473) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - MAY 15, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2005 Lightly sweet malty aroma with some flowery hop perfume and lingering notes of honey. Clear, pale golden color with a slight, fine head and spidery wisps of lace. Flavor is very nicely balanced throughout, with pale malt sweetness and crackery notes contributed by the malts meeting the herbal, lightly flowery, peppery hops which yield a moderate amount of bitterness. Some spicy, green hop notes late. Palate is refreshing and lightly effervescent, body is light-medium. Actually quite enjoyable and easy to drink. I’m afraid I’m unconcerned about its adherence to style or lack thereof. This is a fine spring-summer choice.

On tap at the brewery. Light golden see through yellow color. Light aromas of apple and malt. Lovely medium body with a very well balanced malt/hop combination. Very true to style. Glad the bartendar recommended it!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 phaleslu (4427) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 20, 2010
Draft sample at Hop in the City 2010. Pours a clear pale yellow-gold color with a small frothy white head. Aroma of pils malts, straw, apples, grains, spicy hops, and grass. Flavor of pils malts, spicy hops, straw, white grapes, apples, and cereal. Light-bodied, with subtle carbonation and a crisp palate. Not too far off from a Dortmunder Gold, which is saying a lot.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured clear light amber with a good sized head that offered excellent lacing. The aroma has lightly toasted malt and comes across very lager-ish (as it should). Medium / light body with some subdued sharp carbonation. The taste has grainy malt that is lightly toasted, crusty sourdough and a hint of nuttiness. The finish is a bit spicy and refreshing. A nice example of the style.

Tasted at Schlaffenfest 2007. Filtered with a bronze golden hue. Layer of white head. Minimal nose. Bigger than the Helles, but still light. Similar finish to the Helles as well. Touch more caramel with a bigger sticky palate. Less dry. Went back for seconds on this one.
