COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

A dark orange apperance. The aroma is filled with citrus with a hint of vanilla also. The flavor is slight bitter with some sweet notes as well. Plenty of oranges and grapefruits showing through in this one. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated. Overall this is a simple but good APA.

a well crafted pale ale the blows their flagship pale out of the water! Sampled on tap at Bottleworks in Maplewood. light orange, Maybe just a bit thin for my liking, but the balance is near perfect if not a little on the weak side. would be a good session beer.

When I moved to Missouri, I didnít give this beer a second look. But Iíve now tried it, and I have to say: not bad. Not my favorite IPA (or APA), but not bad either. Ok hops. Decent balance. This good be a go-to-beer if nothing else is available. Itís a hell of a lot better than Boulevard.

Appearance: Pours a light, light orange-amber body with a wispy, off-white head. Smell: Faint grainy aroma with some citrus and a bit of mustiness. Taste: Very weak malt flavor propped up against the taste of grapefruit. A lingering bitterness and an inordinate amount of husk astringency on the already acidic finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Light carbonation. Drinkability: Certainly not a standout whatsoever in this very well represented style. Itís time I come to grips with the fact that I need something truly exciting beerwise.

(draught at Bottleworks) successor to the Centennial APA. Hazy amber with small white head and nice lace. Floral hops aroma. Flavor is grassy hops with enough malt for balance. Not overly hopped - a very nice APA.
Earlier Rating: 6/12/2004 Total Score: 3.9
Lovely orange-amber with decent head. Citrus aroma. Full bodied with citrus bitterness balanced by a good malt backbone.

(draught at Bottleworks) Hazy gold-copper. Small head, nice lace. Nice hops aroma. Enough of a malt backbone to carry the pine-grapefruit hops flavors.

Thanks to Bob, Michelle, and mostly my baby Jana for the 12th annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival today! On tap @ the fest. Very fresh nose of pine & citrus. The brew is amber clover honey. The nice cascade meanders into a fully lasting tall stiff off-white creamy head. The exceptional flavor has a huge citrus presence. Great balance and depth, not unlike the Alpha King! The medium body is lively and dry. The finish feels astringent. One of the highlights of the festival!

12 oz bottle from vyvvy. Poured a hazy orangey/copper with a large size foamy off white head. Not sure why but I just didnít think this one looked that great something about the appearance of the body, hazy and flat. Aroma is citrusy hops and sweet caramel malts. Palate is very nice with pleasing carbonation and a medium mouthfeel. Flavor is malty with noticable hop bitterness on the finish. Very nice Pale Ale.

12 oz. bottle via trade with drmatt - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a big two finger thick off white head. Thick lacing. Aroma is herbal and citrus hops. Flavor is sweet esters and light malt. Light to medium body. A good, very easy to drink beer. Thanks Matt.

Bottle @ Dilly Deli courtesy of Tmoney99. Thanks Tom. Pours a light copper color with a small head. The aroma is mainly peach. The flavor has a nice malt presence balanced with peaches and enough bitterness to keep things interesting. Light and easy drinking. This helped to turn a bad situation (Dogfish Head tasting that was disappointing) into a nice experience.

Draft for Charlie Hoopers in KC, MO Excellent dark amber color with a very light colored head. A relatively strong tasting APA with a really nice after taste which leaves the taste of the hops present in the beer. I am a hop head and find this to be a great beer at places that dont carry IPA beers.
