Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Assertive hop flavor joins the pine/citrus aroma characteristic of American hops to balance the full body provided by North American malts. After fermentation, the beer circulates through a bed of Cascade and Chinook hops, boosting the distinctive hop aroma of this satisfying ale.

Tap @ Schlafly St. Louis. Pours a clear, golden orange appearance with a white head. Somewhat piney, a bit spicy hoppy, pale malty aroma. Fairly pedestrian flavor: notes of flowers, pine, citrus, and toasted malts, though all are weak.

Draught at the Schlafly Taproom, St Louis, MO.
Slightly cloudy golden amber colour with a tiny white head. Fresh fruity hoppy aroma with sweetness and notes of bitterness. The flavour is bitterish fruity hops, sweetness and some maltiness. Quite balanced. Tasty.

Sampled from the tap at Bottleworks. Pours a hazy amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grass and straw with some earthy grains for the backbone. Flavor is full of grass with a touch of pine and straw and grain for the backbone.

Decent white head on a golden body. Nice citrusy hoppy aroma. Grapefruit hops dominates the flavour with just barely enough malt to start to approach balanced. Some fruityness, and a mildly acidic grapefruit finish. Decent palate. Nice beer, but a touch one dimensional. Thanks for sharing Adrian.

12oz bottle, from Party Town. Bottled 2/12/13. Clear orange color. Good thin white head. Leaves good lace. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, kind of crisp. Nice orange citrus hop flavor. Light caramel malt. Good moderate bitter taste, light sweet, lightly sticky in the finish. Good pale ale. Nice to enjoy with my pizza.

Draft pint at Thurman Grill. Seven taps, and I think this was the only one I hadnít tried yet. Bartender swore it was the hoppiest beer Schlafly does, but Iím not so sure about that. Pours a clear gold color with a finger-thick eggshell white head that doesnít last very long. Aroma of citrusy hops, pine, floral notes, spices, and herbs. Flavor of grapefruit citrus, pine resin, floral hops, herbal notes, and caramel malts. Light-medium bodied, with average carbonation. Satisfying and sessionable.

My Bottom Line:
Orange-scented tea leaves and bitter, spicy resins float around lax caramel in this drinkable but rather generic American Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the hazy golden.
-Malts also sculpt biscuity allusions.
-Hops also develop minty and citrusy angles.
-This one didnít taste like it was in the best shape when we got it...

courtesy of hwwty4. pours amber/orange with a nice clear and lasting white head. Aroma is very refreshing. Notes of hops, malts, fruits with grapefruit and sweet citrus aromas. Taste, light palate, pale malts with sweet fruity notes of grapefruit and hints of caramel. Very faint bitter mouthfeel. Highly drinkable with nice velvety palate. My kind of APA/IPA not swarmed by bitter hops. This is a fine nice beer.

Pours hazy orange with nice white head. Aroma of pine, resin, and a touch of citrus hops. Nice piny bitter up front, some caramel in the middle, nice bitter finish. Very hoppy APA, but a great, flavorful brew.
