Our English Style Export IPA features 100% English hops and a big malt backbone built upon pale and caramel malted barley. The hop varietals, Pilgrim and East Kent Goldings, lend a quality of lemon and spice, which play off of the fruity flavors contributed by the London ale yeast.

The hoppy bitterness is somehow on top of an excessively sweet fruity base. It just clashes too much for me to really be a great beer. I might change my mind if I try it again, was just not in the mood for a sweet beer.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste pine, citrus. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

32oz growler I picked up at Whole Foods Falls Church. Pours a hazy dark gold with some fluffy, lacing, white head. Nose is solid, piney, mild soap, bitter, lightly earthy, a little woody, some malt, a little yeast too. Flavor follows along, very piney, quite woody too, some soap, some mild rosemary, some earthy notes, orange too. Big, bitter, soapy finish.

Bottled. Hazy yellow orange pour with white lacing. Citrus resin aromatics. Citrus malt and hops. Pretty nice.

Bottle. Pours a foggy copper color with a thick, frothy head. Nice, tangy hoppy aroma with a hint of caramel. Hoppy taste with brown sugar and caramel notes. Very, very delicious. Could use a little more hops, but that is really picking at things.

Another nice beer from Schlafly. Pours light amber with a fluffy head. The aroma is malt sweetness and earth and grass. The flavor is nicely balanced with some citrus and pine. Finishes dry and tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A cloudy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma and flavor are herbal and lemony with a kind of dirty bitterness.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with two fingers of white head. Aroma is earthy citrus. Dirt and grapefruit. Really nice. Flavor has malt and grapefruit rind. Some floral. Really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cloudy orange-amber with a dense, medium, white head. Strong floral hops and fruit notes atop toasted malt and caramel in the nose. Taste is big citrus and tropical fruit notes with light apricot notes, toasted malt, caramel notes, soft grains and hop resins. Body is medium with a dense, bubbly carbonation. Light stickiness and soft resinous notes on the tongue. Lots of lingering hop bitterness more orange than aspirin. Ends with more big fruit notes, toasted malt, floral hops, light caramel, grains and hop resins. Nice!

Bottle. Hazy golden-copper, with just a thin but resilient head. The character of this beer can be summed up as "earthy" ... a dirty, English-style aroma a contrast to the lighter color ... the flavor rife with pine forest, with a hint of caramel sugar. Me like. (#5627, 8/21/2014)

Pours out a cloudy orange/amber color with a moderate off whit head. Aroma is of biscuity malts, hops are light, floral notes, light citrus peel and some spicy notes. Taste is clean, citrus, floral spicy hops, crackers, light dough and biscuit. Solid for an English style IPA.
