Our English Style Export IPA features 100% English hops and a big malt backbone built upon pale and caramel malted barley. The hop varietals, Pilgrim and East Kent Goldings, lend a quality of lemon and spice, which play off of the fruity flavors contributed by the London ale yeast.

Draft from the tasting room. Pours medium orange with sharp spice and lemon peel notes and British malts. Not what I expected. Not sure what’s "X" about it. Not bad but meh.

(tap) clear yellow colour with a small tan head; aromas of wet wood, dried fruit; flavours of smoke, fruits - very different and interesting

The hoppy bitterness is somehow on top of an excessively sweet fruity base. It just clashes too much for me to really be a great beer. I might change my mind if I try it again, was just not in the mood for a sweet beer.

Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #52. 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Lexington. Pours a hazy orange color with fine floating particles. Large frothy off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of herbal, citrus, tropical, floral hops and faint pale malts. The taste is juicy citrus, candied citrus, hops, mild caramel malt. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness. Nice, but not really very English in character.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2014 on tap @ Drake’s / Florence KY Cloudy dirty amber with a thin head cover, bulging rim head, showers of lace. Taste is malt and molasses that move smoothly through the palate to a lightly bittered finish. A little heavy going in, but doesn’t weigh heavy in the stomach. Drinkable. Re-rating to add the place.

Draft at shortys on pearl street NYC . Pours a nice pale ale crisp color with a nice shade or orange tan. Hoppy but doesn't overdo it like I think they tried. Good nonetheless ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a amber color. Smelled kinda like straw with a fruity presence, not citrus fruit, but sweet indistinguishable fruitiness. Not the worst.

Rich orange and copper coloured body with a large, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of strong grapefruit, resiny and piney hops with a lot of bitterness, a touch of malt and some good floral notes. Medium-bodied; Assertive bitterness with a large dose of flowers and spicy yeastiness with the large hop flavour that you’d expect, coming from perfumey and piney hops. Aftertaste shows a good deal of bitterness, some malt backbone with a smooth flavour and a large alcohol bite at the end. Overall, a nice and flavourful beer that has a touch of a hop bitterness, but shows a good range of flavours. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased yesterday at New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 01-November-2013 for US$2.25 sampled in my hotel room here in New York a day later on 02-November-2013.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head and tons of floaties. Aroma is a very nice earthy pine hop. Flavor is a nice mix of fresh pine hop with some honey malt. Finish has a bit of sweet herbal essence. This is a hoppy IPA
