12 oz. Cloudy, pear colored with a half inch of foam on top. Aroma is lightly spicy toast, lemon zest, and resin. The taste is the same, plus some bitterish wheat tastes. Light-medium body has medium-high carbonation and finishes dry. It should be a crime to label an American Wheat Ale as a Hefeweizen.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2013 Pours nearly clear gold with a short white head. Scent is tart, wheat, bitter orange. Taste is a little stale, wheat, water, citrus... Weak and mostly tasteless. ReRate: 4-9-13: much better this time around.....aroma and taste were far improved.....must have had a bad bottle first time around.

Bottle pours a hazy yellow with a medium white head. Malts are sweet, a touch of citrus and banana, but overall rather weak and watery. Palate is light and refreshing, but leaves something to be desired.

Thanks, Abbie! Frothy golden pour, looks reasonable enough. Slightly off aroma, both too tart and too vegetal in a sense. Some soft yeast notes in there to smooth things out but it’s odd. Taste is less concerning, though more anonymous. Minimal spice, more grainy and yeasty.

Good drinkable beer. Nothing special but better than big name brands for every day drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy light yellow with good fizzy head and good lacing. Scent of lemon citrus and some bread. Taste citrus with light grainy bread coming through and very mild hops. Not much else. Light on the palate, almost thin. Refreshing to drink but nothing fantastic. Bought at Smooth Endings as BYO six pack of Schafly beers. Drank at Vernon's poker night 9/8/12. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Yeasty, wheat, malty aromas. Crisp, lemon, wheat, yeast flavors. Not too bad for an american wheat.

This is one of my least favorite Schlafly beers. Weak in body and flavor, with a watery palate. Still, there is ample wheat flavor, some banana and a small amount of spices.
