Bottle bought in Herrin, IL in 2011. Appearance: Pours a creamy white head that disappears quickly. Body is a golden straw color. Nose: not much. Taste: slight citrus flavor, maybe apple or orange; crisp; slight pils or hefe-weizen hops. Well balanced but not much flavor compared to German made hefe-weizen. Mouthfeel: watery and very carbonated; Overall: Not nearly as tasty as German made hefe-weizen but not bad either. Better than Blue Moon. Good session beer, refreshing, but not worth the cost in light of the German made options. I hope Schlafly learns to do better in the future.

On tap @ Schlafly Tap Room, Lambert Airport edition. Hazed pale straw pour with a tall white head. Mostly just bread on the nose. A touch of soap and floral hops, maybe some yeast, too. Kind of lemony as well. Flavor is slightly tart, but as with the nose, is dominated by bread/malt. Fairly sweet, with a light peppery bitterness. Sort of yeasty. Could take it or leave it.

This beer pours a hazy golden yellow color with white head. Aroma is kind of light with notes of wheat. Not the greatest Hefeweizen, but it isn’t the worst either. Great on a summer evening with a lemon wedge.

Hazy golden pour with little head. Aroma of bread, cloves, lemon. Easy drinking with a lager like mouthfeel. Not the greatest in style but good enough

Bottle from old backlog notes. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, some doughy character, light citrus, light spice, not really a good Hefe, oh we have it classified as a wheat ale which makes more sense. Meh.

I enjoyed this beer. It is mild but goes down smooth on a hot day. I added a lemon wedge as thr bottle suggested and voila great summer evening beer.

Pours a light straw color with a small white head that doesn’t stick around. Aroma is pretty mild; citrus, a little wheat. Taste is the same with the addition of a slight banana flavor. Pretty thin but extremely drinkable. Nice beer for warm weather, otherwise it’s pretty forgettable.

Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Smells of subtle wheat, hints of bubblegum. Taste is citrus, hints of spice. Medium-bodied with with a prickly texture and a fizzy texture, Schlafly Hefeweizen finishes with a lingering citrus tartness.

Tap. A smooth beer. Pour is straw yellow. Nose is clove. Taste is very smooth with clove.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Slightly hazy gold. Aroma and flavour of mild grains. Schlafly has not impressed me with their standard lineup-- another dud.

Pours a golden haze with a good white head. Aroma is very bland, maybe a very small sweet note. Taste is slight malt, very thin, somewhat sweet again but no fruit or honey. Overall a very underwhelming beer, though somewhat drinkable.
