A Munich Style Helles. Golden and medium-bodied, it has a fresh noble hop character and lightly toasted malt flavor. This classic summer time lager is made for the warm, lazy days of Summer in America’s heartland.

It was after midnight, I was buzzed, this was wet, it was refreshing. Light golden, clear. Surprisingly floral and grassy hop presence. Lively and slightly peppery. Thirst-quenching. Probably a wise light beer to end the evening with.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a very pale straw yellow with a fizzy half finger white head that quickly fades away to nearly nothing. No lacing at all although there is fairly abundant carbonation. Aroma is very biscuity with caramel undertones. Lots of grassy hops and hay dominate the nose. Quite nice. A quick shot of biscuit and caramel in the flavor with spicy, grassy hops quickly following. It is a very nice interplay for a short period of time before everything just sort of fades away into nothing. Mouthfeel is quite watery but is refreshing. Overall, a decent beer although the flavors are quite fleeting. I only wish they would hang around longer. Something I would consider picking up again, though.

Not a bad brew at all, but not as strong in the lemon flavor as I'd prefer. Not something is really classify as a "summer" brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from Party Source. Bottled with love on 3/26. Mostly clear golden yellow color. Minimal thin bubbly white head, that fades to nothing. Medium body. Crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly citrusy aroma. Light breadiness. Light tart, light sweet taste. OK helles. Not sure how I feel about the citrus factor

Location: Draft at Pony Bar, 5/15/13, as Schlafly Summer Lager

Aroma: It has a clean nose of pale German malts, some grassy and floral hops, and a bit of fruit
Appearance: This one pours a clear gold with a white head, and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is well-balanced between the light sweetness and clean hop bitterness
Palate: The body is pretty light, it isn’t watery at all, it is crisp, clean, and very drinkable, with a crisp finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was an excellent example of the style. It is light and easy to drink, but still very flavorful, with a clean, crisp hop feel. Overall, this one was a very nice summer style beer. It is very sessionable, and perfect for the season.

Pours an almost neon yellow, nice white head. Corny, grassy aroma. Sweet corn flavor, some crisp hops. Not a whole lot going on.

Pint on tap. Clear gold with a lasting covering of foam. Nose is toasted grain, corn, and dry grass. Taste is lightly toasted coarse grain, corn, a hint of citrus and a touch of dry grass on the finish. Light-medium body is well balanced and has medium carbonation.

Mild lemon, mild grain-corn, and mild floral notes. Gold, decent carbonation, and lite white head retention. Medium bodied, flavor like aroma, and nice lemon hop notes. Medium bitterness, nice dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is a clear yellow color with a medium white head, and the aroma is simply that of sweet bread yeast. The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet; also, the palate combines a light body, thin texture, average carbonation, and a long finish.
