2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle- Pours a pale straw color with a fizzy head that fades pretty quick with some lacing. Has a mild fresh grain aroma with a faint hint of citrus.
Has a very mild sweetness with a bit of biscuit and seems to have a soft finish. Light body, smooth with a mild carbonation. Not quite as crisp and refreshing as I expected, but still nicely balanced. Nothing fancy just a nice Summer beer, an easy drinker and good for a few.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
6/13/11. 12oz bottle. Not quite clear golden pour with a small, creamy white head that fades fast. Plain grainy aroma with a hint of green apple. Creamy, malty flavor with a touch of green apple and lingering dry pale malts. Nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fresh bottle from Bottleworks location under Summer Lager label. This was pretty tasty and flavorful. I’d have to agree that this is a nice helles and a great summer offering. Clean lager even as it warms.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A clear, pale yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has a light hop character. The light body is crisp with lively carbonation. The taste is pretty clean and refreshing with just a hint of bitterness. Pretty good for a style that is often boring.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Whole Foods Market, DC six-pack ($9): Pours a pale gold color with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is of a little bit of grass, bready, and the hops. Bitterness is there, but in a very small measure. The bready feel that a helles should have is also there and in the right measure. Very drinkable, quaffable, and chuggable. Well-balanced and for the most part on-point with the style. Pretty good.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can labeled as Schlafly Summer Helles: Lemony corn aroma, quite shitty. Clear piss yellow, thin white head. Light barley malt and lemon flavor, finishes grainy. Grassy from nearly start to finish, but noble hops are most prominent at midpalate. Awfully tart for the style. Not enjoyable in the least.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I thought that this was a nice crisp ’summer’ beer. Good flavor and highly drinkable. I would enjoy this again.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours golden with a nice amount of white head. Didn’t get a ton of aroma but there’s was some nice hop flavor on the tongue. It paired nicely with gumbo here at Schlafly’s. Finishes clean and crisp.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 12oz bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into a Lager Glass. This beer pours a sparkling clear pale gold color. It has about a half inch of frothy head that struggles to stay alive. There is a weak aroma of bready malt and floral hops. The taste is slightly bitter with a slight back end of salt. This is a light bodied beer with a very thing texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a very average beer, but very sub-par for Schlafly. I suppose it would be great for drinking outside on a hot summer day, and it does go pretty good with my pizza.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
It poured a light yellow color with an off-white head. The aroma was of bready lager yeast, grassy hops and lightly toasted malt. The taste was mostly herbal and grassy with some light breadiness. A nice refreshing lager.
