4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 SPDickerman (717) - Texas, USA - JUL 28, 2012Pours clear golden with a sizable white head. Smells of mild toffee or biscuit with some spicy hops. Taste is mild sweet and mild spicy bitter. Light-bodied with a slick texture and average mouth-carbonation, Schlafly Summer Lager Helles finishes clean.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 rangerred (675) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - JUN 18, 2013
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a very pale straw yellow with a fizzy half finger white head that quickly fades away to nearly nothing. No lacing at all although there is fairly abundant carbonation.
Aroma is very biscuity with caramel undertones. Lots of grassy hops and hay dominate the nose. Quite nice.
A quick shot of biscuit and caramel in the flavor with spicy, grassy hops quickly following. It is a very nice interplay for a short period of time before everything just sort of fades away into nothing. Mouthfeel is quite watery but is refreshing.
Overall, a decent beer although the flavors are quite fleeting. I only wish they would hang around longer. Something I would consider picking up again, though.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Lunchb0x (20) - Prestonsburg, Kentucky, USA - MAY 31, 2013
Not a bad brew at all, but not as strong in the lemon flavor as I'd prefer. Not something is really classify as a "summer" brew.

12oz bottle from Party Source. Bottled with love on 3/26. Mostly clear golden yellow color. Minimal thin bubbly white head, that fades to nothing. Medium body. Crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly citrusy aroma. Light breadiness. Light tart, light sweet taste. OK helles. Not sure how I feel about the citrus factor

Location: Draft at Pony Bar, 5/15/13, as Schlafly Summer Lager
Aroma: It has a clean nose of pale German malts, some grassy and floral hops, and a bit of fruit
Appearance: This one pours a clear gold with a white head, and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is well-balanced between the light sweetness and clean hop bitterness
Palate: The body is pretty light, it isn’t watery at all, it is crisp, clean, and very drinkable, with a crisp finish
Overall Impression:
I thought this was an excellent example of the style. It is light and easy to drink, but still very flavorful, with a clean, crisp hop feel. Overall, this one was a very nice summer style beer. It is very sessionable, and perfect for the season.

This beer is a clear yellow color with a medium white head, and the aroma is simply that of sweet bread yeast. The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet; also, the palate combines a light body, thin texture, average carbonation, and a long finish.

April 16, 2013 - tap at Bridge. Clear yellow pour with some head that faded quickly. Malt and grain in the aroma and taste. Crisp and refreshing, and more body than I expected.
