Drank from a can. Earthy aroma. Thick head (probably because of temp change). Crystal clear light straw color. Hint of malt up front, balanced out by grass taste. Pretty light body. Nothing great, but probably good on a float trip or after mowing the lawn in today’s 104 degree weather.

Tap - small foamy head, medium straw color, crisp light malt aroma and flavor with fair balanced hop character, definitely refreshing, will be good for the upcoming summer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Location: Draft at Pony Bar, 5/15/13, as Schlafly Summer Lager

Aroma: It has a clean nose of pale German malts, some grassy and floral hops, and a bit of fruit
Appearance: This one pours a clear gold with a white head, and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is well-balanced between the light sweetness and clean hop bitterness
Palate: The body is pretty light, it isn’t watery at all, it is crisp, clean, and very drinkable, with a crisp finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was an excellent example of the style. It is light and easy to drink, but still very flavorful, with a clean, crisp hop feel. Overall, this one was a very nice summer style beer. It is very sessionable, and perfect for the season.

Pours an almost neon yellow, nice white head. Corny, grassy aroma. Sweet corn flavor, some crisp hops. Not a whole lot going on.

Pint on tap. Clear gold with a lasting covering of foam. Nose is toasted grain, corn, and dry grass. Taste is lightly toasted coarse grain, corn, a hint of citrus and a touch of dry grass on the finish. Light-medium body is well balanced and has medium carbonation.

Mild lemon, mild grain-corn, and mild floral notes. Gold, decent carbonation, and lite white head retention. Medium bodied, flavor like aroma, and nice lemon hop notes. Medium bitterness, nice dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is a clear yellow color with a medium white head, and the aroma is simply that of sweet bread yeast. The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet; also, the palate combines a light body, thin texture, average carbonation, and a long finish.

April 16, 2013 - tap at Bridge. Clear yellow pour with some head that faded quickly. Malt and grain in the aroma and taste. Crisp and refreshing, and more body than I expected.

Can->shaker. Pale yellow with small white head. Aroma and taste are of a citrus lager. Just ok.

Bottle. Light barley malt aroma. Clear medium gold with a small white head. Barley malt and hay flavor. Light body, moderately lively carbonation. No problem drinking this one on a hot summer day.

Clear yellow with white head. Musty to skunky aroma with a flavor of light malt and a hint of hops. I have enjoyed almost every Schlafly beer I have tried. This is my least favorite of the brand.
