A Munich Style Helles. Golden and medium-bodied, it has a fresh noble hop character and lightly toasted malt flavor. This classic summer time lager is made for the warm, lazy days of Summer in America’s heartland.

Draft... Clear, light golden lager with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is pure honey. Medium-bodied with subtle carbonation. The flavor is grainy and loaded with honey sweetness with just enough hop bitterness to balance things out. Bittersweet, mashy finish.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of phaleslu. Thanks! Bottled 7/13/10. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a medium frothy offwhite head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts with a bit of grassiness. The taste is grassy hops with a sweet malty finish. Thin-medium bodied. Seems fairly generic.

Sample at Bigelo’s Bistro in Edwardsville, IL. The beer is a clear pale yellow color with a medium white head that recedes slowly. Thin sheet of lacing on the glass. Bready malt and mild hops in the nose. Light and clean body with flavors of biscuity malt, grain, hops and some fruit. The finish is malty with a short mildly hopped aftertaste. Average overall.

On tap at Schlafly Tap Room. Poured a clear bright golden with a short white head on it. The aroma picked up sweet caramel and corn husk with floral accents.. soft and simple with only a possible extra simple sugar addition detracting. Very sweet again in the flavor with some pale malts, caramel, and faint vegetal notes.. dry grassy bitterness was mild and it accented well.. again, it seemed like there were too many residual sugars in there. Lighter-bodied and sweet with a mild bitterness.. refreshing.

Draft at BB’s in St. Louis. From a tap marked "Schlafly Summer Lager." Pours a clear gold with plenty of visible carbonation and a small white head. Aroma of pale malts, herbal hops, sweet crackers, straw, and grains. Flavor follows suit pretty closely, maybe a touch of honey and grass along with the other notes. Light-bodied with crisp carbonation. Cold, crisp, refreshing- good summer lager, as advertised.
