My neighbor gave a couple of bottles of this one to try. Hoppy, malty, citrusy and very tasty start to finish. I enjoyed this one very much and would stock it if it were available in colorado.

Tasted at the Taproom. It poured a golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was of lemon, malts and earthy herbal hops. The taste was of lemon citrus notes with a light body and some lightly sweet malts that really make it happen for me. Very nice.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orange with a white head. Taste sweet, light citrus. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted on 10/8/2013 at Schlafly cask night. This is one of their multi-purpose recipes, but I learned from the brewer it was bittered with Polish Magnum, a little Mosaic in the whirlpool, then a sh!tload of Neomexicanus dry hops in the cask. Hazy orange-ish amber colour, thin but persistent white head. The aromas were certainly unique, but very, very subtle. Iím going to describe some stuff, but I had to work hard to pick up on íem. Overall, it wasnít as profound as Iíd hoped: green tea, honey, cantalope melon, juicy fruit gum (which might be the Mosaic, actually), lemongrass, daisy family weeds like echinacea, dandelion, chicory, very faint tomato plant. Medium body, low carbonation, nice round mouthfeel, lingering fruity aftertaste. Iím a sucker for this mellow hop trial recipe, especially whenever itís cask-conditioned, but to be honest I wanted to like this one a whole lot. I think the Mosaic made it difficult to pick apart the characteristics of this rare native hop variety.

8 oz. glass at Bigeloís Bistro. Pour is light clear copper golden with the fastest moving carbonation bubbles I have ever seen. A soapy off white head. Aroma and flavor is wet grass and dry malt. Flavor was grassy and peppery with that malt. A very different beer than I am used to seeing from Schlafly. Tasty!

Growler. Pours a hazed orange amber color with a pretty small head. Malty aroma with some citurs type hops in the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Taste isnít too bad, starts with a slight sweetness along with a slight citrus rind bitterness. Ends rather flatly and falls somewaht apart.

Aroma is a massive blast of citrus hops. Refreshing. Yellow orange in color. Flavor is citrusy, fruit filled and tons of grapefruit. Excellent bitter finish. Outstanding.
