Sour taste I wasn’t expecting. Copper color, looks like a wheat. I expect better from Schlafly....this is more of a sour wheat.

4oz sample at Max’s Hop Fest 2013. Pours a hazy, straw gold with some lacing, creamy, white head. Nose of bubblegum, juicy oranges, tangerine, nectarine, peach. Flavor is very juicy too, orange, agave, nectarine, grass. Lightly sweet finish. Very good.

The aroma blends the scents of wheat and citrus hops, and the appearance is a cloudy amber color with a large white head. The taste is mildly sweet and slightly bitter, but that simplicity is delicious. Also, the mouthfeel mixes a medium body, thick texture, soft carbonation, and a long finish.

Draft at two stones... Bright orange in color.... really cloudy and murky/muddy. Small head. Smells nice. Light fruits with a nice hop nose. Taste is really good. Mango, pineapple juicy and fruity but not in a girly way. Nice hop presence but not really bitter. Juicy! A little malty biscuit bready taste to balance it. Not really picking up any wheat flavors. Good stuff. Medium body, easy to drink. Overall: Very enjoyable!

(draught at Bottleworks) hazy yellow with generous white head. Aroma of citrus and herbs. Flavor was a dissapointment - some citrus, but more damp vegetation/herbs with a medicinal finish.

10 oz. glass at the Bottle Works. This arrived hazy golden beige with a nice soapy head. Sticky lacing remained on the glass. A very citrusy aroma but jot a big one. The flavor starts sour and rather bitter. Citrus is big. Oranges, pineapple, and lemon. They are also lightly spicy. Crisp wheat notes are tasted but are in the background. This is hop forward and they might be a little over done. Still, this is tasty.

Tasted a special Simcoe dry-hopped version at Bottleworks Cask Night. It poured a murky golden amber colour with weak off-white head. Huge hoppy aromas: lemons, grapefruit, resin, strong fruity esters. Bready and faintly caramelly. Medium body, low carbonation, lingering tangy hops aftertaste. Delicious.

Sampled at Schlafly Fresh Hop fest - Pours hazy golden/yellow with an off-white head. The aroma has lots of lemon and floral Sorachi Ace notes with smooth American wheat backing it up. Medium light body with gentle smooth carbonation. The flavor starts with lemon zest, some tartness, smooth American wheat and floral aspects. The finish has spice, lemon and light vanilla. A nice bonus beer for the fest.

Draft at the 2011 Fresh Hop Festival at Schlafly Bottleworks. Bonus Beer! Glad I stayed around long enough for them to roll this one out. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with a moderate white head. Lots of wheat and citrus in this one, along with bready malts, tropical fruits, and some oily and herbal notes from the Sorachi Ace hops, as well. Light-medium bodied, with a wheaty, juicy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. This was actually a lot like the Hop Harvest Ale from this year, just a little less hoppy and a little more wheaty.

Draft at the Bottleworks. Pours a hazy golden orange with about 2 fingers of thick white head. Aroma of bready malt, citrus hops and grapefruit. Taste is medium bitter and very lightly sour. Taste of citrus, orange pulp, wheat and grapefruit. Almost reminded me of a hoppy orange julius. Full bodied with a thick texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, awesome. I wish it was bottled so I could get it in my neck of the woods.
