This beer was dry-hopped with more than one pound of hops per barrel, Simcoe and Amarillo, which creates a malty, drinkable, hoppy IPA that is full of flavor and easy to enjoy. The recipe was developed collaboratively with a trio of Washington D.C. beer purveyors -- Greg Jasgur, overseer of the Pizzeria Paradiso craft beer empire, Sam Fitz, beer director at Meridian Pint, and Greg Engert of Birch & Barley and ChurchKey fame.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. The pour is a clear, deep orange topped by a thin, yellow, semi-rocky head. Not too much retention and no lace. Aroma is fruity orange, sweet caramel, light floral and citrus hops. Taste is bitter, light, nutty. Watery on the palate.

Draft at The Tap Room- St. Louis release limited to 2 kegs and I’m pretty sure it will be gone by mid-day 4/9/11. Pours a mostly clear amber color with a finger-thick off-white head. Aroma of earthy, citrusy hops, tea leaves, grass, wood, and dry grains. Flavor of earthy, leafy hops, tea, orange citrus, bready malts, and wood. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a fruity, leafy mouthfeel. Does exactly what it advertises as a nice, hoppy session IPA.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Fruity citric hoppy aroma, with orange zest and light caramel malts. The flavor has fruity citric hops, lighter floral notes, and pale and light sweet malts. Awesome session IPA.

Draft to pint. Looks Good for a session IPA; a transparent golden orange with foamy off-white head that dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells and tastes solid; dank hops with a light pale malt backbone. Nice and light on the palate. A solid session IPA.

Draft at Meridian Pint. Poured a slightly hazy orange/amber color with a pinky or so of off-white head. Aroma was sweet grapefruit notes, woah, plenty of grapefruit. other citrus notes as well, touch of malts. Flavor was sweet malts, nice citrus with touches of hops. Very tasty.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting held at Bigelos. Clear copper with little carbonation to be seen. A small light golden head. Floral and pine aroma is light. Flavor is also light. Some citrus, some pine, some caramel, some grain. This is very light drinking and is kind of like their Pale Ale but lighter. A nice bitter flourish at the end.
