Jet black color with a small head, strong roasted coffee fruity bread aroma. Thick and full bodied, rich chocolate, plum and coffee flavors, this is a great example of an Imperial Stout should be. this is as good as it gets. I believe I am blessed living so close to SLB

Ahhh....the favorite of the festival. Absolutely beatiful ebony color. The nose is a heavy as the mouthfeel. What every Imperial Stout should be! The beer that most closely matches this would have to be Bells Expedition. A treat!

Poured an opaque black color with a small, bubbly, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee beans, chocolate, and light cherry aroma. Milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, nuts, hops in the taste, and just a light amount of alcohol in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Great bottling job Jeff!

Super sweet chocolate malt aroma, which is not overabundant in the taste. The most beautiful bone white china head. Kind of thinnish - good roastiness in the flavor, really nice bitterness to offset some pretty hefty sweetness - overall, not as aggressively hopped as some of my faves, but among the sweeter Imperials this really shines in its restrained balance. Great growler from MJR!

Pours a deep black with a dark tan head. Aromas of chocolate, some spices, and fruits. Flavors are much the same but with some molasses added.

From the brewery on 12/4/07. WOW! Bourbon and coffee flavor not present in the malty aroma -- drinks like a cold Irish Coffee. Smooth and drinkable. Sweetness nicely offsets the alcohol and coffee. Very good!

Pours a very deep black with a dark tan head that leaves quickly. Aroma is chocolate and sweet, dark-roasted malts. Falvor is tobacco, smoke, chocolate, coffee, nuttiness, and mild hop spice. Very dry.
