COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours black and is an amped-up version of a traditional dry stout. The addition of both roasted barley and dark crystal malted barley give Extra Stout undertones of chocolate, molasses and dried fruit.

Bottle from an under-rated brewer. This poured an extremely dark mahogany with a slender tan head that soon reduced to a halo. The aroma is full of coffee and roasted barley suported by a splash of alcohol and a touch of nutty bitterness. A drp of molasses and a git of milk chocolate are added to the flavor, all smoothly blended. The finish is dark and malty with a roasted bitterness. Good brew.

Bottle: The aroma has lots of chocolate with some roasted malt and a hint of licorice. It pours a dark brown with orange hilights along the outer edges of the glass with a small beige head that fades quickly. Flavor starts with moderate chocolate. The finish has moderate black licorice flavors with some light roasted coffee and a hint of alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium bodied but a tad fizzy for an Imperial Stout.

Bottle.Black bodied with a sturdy, frothy brown head. Aroma is ashes, roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is bitter coffee, roasted malt, dark, bittersweet chocolate, ashy wood, and burnt caramel. Body is medium-full with a creamy, but lively, carbonation. Finishes with more ashy/smoky notes, bitter coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt.

Bottle. Black with a fizzy tan head. Milk chocolate and roasted grain aroma and taste with chalky finish and a smooth palate. Deceptively easy drinking for an 8% ABV.

So dark, rich, and thick with a nice tan head. Flavor is very nice chocolate and coffee. Feel is substantial. This is a very nice stout and one that I will seek out again.

Black, no head. Really faint aroma - some coffee, I guess. Taste is coffee, some burnt toast and a dry finish. As it warmed, I started to get some buttery notes, and not in a good way.

Bottle. Darkest brown/black pour with a big tan head. Roasted malt aroma with a bit of sweet malt and a hint of alcohol. Sweet malt flavor up front with some booze influence and a dry finish.

A dark brown pour with an almost yellow head. A light malty aroma with a hint of sour to it. A flavor of slightly sweet malt with a medium bitter finish. A very thin palate an a bit fizzy for me. Just a little bland for me and fizzy. Not terrible but just short.

Bottle. Chocolate and roast nose with faint nuts and a slightly syrupy fruitiness. Malty but with a nice dusting of hops. Coke-colored pour with a creamy, richly tanned head. Taste is carbonated, dark, and lightly bitter, aforementioned fruit with light mocha and nuts, pleasant roast with a little dust. Smooth, creamy lightish medium body, still very quaffable. Malt-heavy with lactose and even a little Yoo-hoo. A little too bittersweet to really be called a dry stout, but close enough for jazz. Alcohol is absolutely no detectable - I made a mistake by drinking 8% so quickly. A nice surprise, though.

Well done for style. Light crisp roast with a hint of chocolate. Pours black with God mocha head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Smooth, with slightly creamy consistency. Taobat Scion.
