Draft to taster. Looks solid; a fairly transparent light cola with off-white head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells solid too; dark malt and lots of pleasant coffee. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Good, not great.

Bottle. From the bottle so no pour. Deep black though...Aromas of chocolate, roasted grain, coffee, and a touch of caramel. Strong coffee and chocolate flavor. Medium body and easy drinking. Nice finish and wonderful.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color stout with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry coffee notes with light roasted malt. Taste is dominated by dry bitter coffee notes with and almost spicy finish. Light bitter black chocolate notes are also noticeable. Body is a bit light for style with good carbonation. Too bitter for my taste with coffee notes veering into stringency territory.

Pours a very dark red with a big and fluffy light brown head. Toooons of coffee on the nose, really roasty, caramel, milk chocolate, and maybe a hint of vanilla. Again, lots and lots of nice roasty, bold coffee predominant on the taste, some nice dark chocolate, vanilla bean, and a nice dark bitter character. Really quite tasty and super heavy on the coffee.

Dark opaque brown with a coffee aroma. Kaldis is one of my favorite coffees and you can smell it and taste it in this beer. A sweet deep rich coffee flavor. Yum.

Big coffee aroma and lots more on the palate. It is balanced out with nice roasted malt and some dark fruit. Nice coffee bomb

I’ve never good experience with Schlafly, but this was a pretty good one. It pours almost black and is slightly translucent. The head is tan and thin but hangs around lacing all the way down the glass. To me, this tastes like cold coffee. It’s got a heavy coffee kick and quite a bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly, I found this to be a darn good coffee stout.

Poured from bottle. I smell coffee, licorice, vanilla and cocoa. Looks like a stout should. Coffee flavor is the lead, but it is not overpowering. Nut, vanilla, cocoa and licorice flavors complement the coffee well. Nicely done. I enjoyed this, and that says a lot from someone who is not a coffee fan.
