This black pour is topped off with a mocha colored head. Smells of coffee but it is faint. The flavor is coffee in the front and sweet oatmeal in the back. A very drinkable stout.

Nice dark brown and a tan head with slightly larger bubbles than I expected - maybe from the oils in the coffee. Fantastic coffee chocolate aroma. Taste is strong, lots of roast and some tannins. Almost feels a bit oaky. Pretty tasty, I enjoyed it. I might like this imperial style as it felt a little like it could be richer and more malty.

This beer is akin to drinking a carbonated, iced coffee. My only problem with the beer is in the mouthfeel. Itís thinner than what I expect from a stout. This may be due to the coffee thatís infused in the stout. If you like iced mochas. coffees, ect. then you should try this brew.

Bottled (thanks heemer77). Dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is strong coffeebeans, not much else is let through, except for dark choclate. Flavour is coffee, some roasted malts and hops. Some chocolate in aftertaste along with coffee. Very watery.

Bottled (brewed 11/2005)
Dark brown/ruby color, small tan head. Aroma of toasted coffee and light hops, like sniffing fresh coffee beans. Dark toasted coffee dominates the flavor. Palate is quite thin, a bit too simple with just coffee beans and not much anything else - but very drinkable as such. Aftertaste fades away quickly.

i have had this beer both in the bottle away from the taproom and on draught at the taproom. itís much better on draught. I didnít detect the taste of iced coffee, or I wouldnít have liked it.

I find this coffee aroma very very pleasing, as coffee is one my favorite aromas to begin with. Its earthy with a touch of roasted malt to boot. Brownish black color, opaque with a modest but thick tan head. Flavor is a tad weird, starting with a dominant iced coffee, moving briefly through a spicy phase that raised both habanero chili (without heat) and cinnamon. Then a pretty thin, dry, coffee-flavored finish. A real disappointment after that first whiff.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured dark brown with a medium brown head. Big coffee in the aroma. Flavor was coffee and earth notes with a thin to moderate body. Way too much carbonation and a somewhat medicinal finish.
