On tap at 28 Springs thanks to Casey. Pours a medium brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is all coffee. Flavor follows. Mild carbonation. Not much maltiness at all. Nice medium bodied beer.

Pours a beautiful dark black.
I had this beer on tap off a Randall filled with espresso beans. Absolutely delicious and changes the flavor charactistics of the beer. With the espresso beans this beer is a little sweeter and has a strong coffee kick. Pours a deep black with a strong expresso scent.

Hey wonderful coffee aroma. A deep Ebony color, very clear. A nice coffee taste to a medium bodied stout. Lite bitter finish. We have a winner!

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light tan frothy head of very fine bubbles. Mild coffee in the aroma with some chocolate, roasted grains and a bit of raisin. Color is a very dark brown. Flavor has a sunstantial coffee kick but is rather short lived. Rather thin body for an oatmeal stout. Dark roasted malts and some bitterness from the coffee. Finishes lingering coffee and biterness. A decent coffee stout.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 4-26-2010 (Bottled on 11-06-2009) This beer’s appearance is a medium sized fizzy tan head with a short retention, opaque dark brown body and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, coffee and roasty. The taste mimics the aromas. The palate is smooth, watery and thin. This beer is light bodied. Overall, easy to drink for the style due to the watery, thin texture. I have had better of this beer style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black pour with a 1 finger, creamy tan head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is coffee, roast, roasted nuts, toasty grain, dark caramel and dark chocolate. Flavor is coffee and nutty notes up front, wood, roast, a touch of char, light woody notes, a little earthy spice and light resinous notes. Light leaning toward medium body with a dry, but somewhat syrupy feel throughout. Good stuff, very coffee forward without tasting stale, but whatever is there besides the coffee is overshadowed a bit too much for the feel of the beer, if it had a bit fuller body it could carry it nicely.
