This collaboration with Kaldi’s Coffee uses the cold toddy method of extraction for the coffee. We mix it with Oatmeal Stout for an exceptionally delicious beer.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark brown ruby color with a creamy brown chocolate head. The nose was of deep espresso, chocolate, bitter hop and malt. Taste was predominately the espresso and the soft bitter hops. Medium body with medium carbonation.

dark water brown. Deep coffee nose. Taste good but a little watered down. Kind of plain and light.

Dark pour, small head. Coffee bean and roasted malt aroma. The coffee takes a back seat when im drinking this, which is too bad because i enjoy a nice coffee forward stout. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, with coffee beans in the background. Medium to thicker body.

My Bottom Line:
Roasted coffee beans and their charred edges are surrounded by tiramisu sweetness and chocolate in this agreeable Coffee Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam sits atop the darkness.
-The finish is also a touch acidic.
-Carbonation is a bit too prickly for my liking in this type of dessert-like flavor profile.
-This is not trying to reinvent the style. It’s just doing a good job, and that’s fine with me when I’m in the mood for coffee flavors in beer.

Un liquide embouteillé avec amour le 01-18-13. Merci Patrick.

Bof.

A very good aroma. Even out of the bottle. A good oatmeal stout flavor. I love the coffee taste! Surprised by this one! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma smells like slightly like not-so-fresh brewed coffee with very little of anything else coming through in the nose, and the appearance is a black color with a small off-white head. The taste is mildly bitter, slightly sweet, and a touch umami, and the palate combines a bitter finish, full body, slick texture, and a soft carbonation.
