3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Virginia Wine Experience - reviewing from notes - pours dark brown, great coffee and malt things happening on the nose. Itís a solid oatmeal stout, with some nice coffee bitterness.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured a deep black color with a big tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, toffee, and nuts. Taste is coffee and chocolate. Pretty much if you like coffee you will love this beer as I did.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is an absolutely AMAZING stout. I love the strong coffee bean flavor with the oatmeal stout backing. What a wonderful combination! Hope to find this one again some day (soon).

Awesome stout! Very thick & rich, tons of coffee flavor & aftertaste. Wish it was more widely available.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours black as night with decent brown head, less than anticipated retention. Aroma is black coffee with other things taking a back seat and trying to get through. Caramel and malt in the background. Round on the palate, but quite frankly it is coffeed with too heavy a hand to really shine. Just OK

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smoky aroma has an overtone of quality roast coffee plus nutty and unsweet chocolate hints. Pours a deep chocolaty brown that lets in a teeny bit of light at the bottom and has a thick, fluffy, light tan head that sticks around for a bit. Flavor has roast coffee and unsweet chocolate notes with nutty and woody notes. Texture seems a bit thin for a stout, but it has plenty of lively fizz. If not the best coffee stout available, still a good one.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Into a snifter. Inch of light tan head. Dark brown, can still see light coming through when held up.
Stick your nose into a bag of freshly roasted coffee. Thatís what we have here. Also some burnt malt and a hint of vanilla and dark chocolate.
Tastes like roasted malt, coffee, bitter ending.
Crisp and light bodied for an oatmeal stout. Moderate carbonation, less would be better.
Good to drink. I like that there is no doubt that it is a coffee stout. Great looking and aroma. The taste and mouthfeel were fine but not standout.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours deep, dark brown with average, creamy beige head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is heavy coffee drowning out most other notes; some roasted malt, earthy hops, and burnt chocolate. Flavor is malt dominate again with coffee dominating the palate; slightly watery with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
The beer felt flat on flavor. This was reinforced by lack of a defining aroma. Overall just another run of the mill stout
