COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This collaboration with Kaldiís Coffee uses the cold toddy method of extraction for the coffee. We mix it with Oatmeal Stout for an exceptionally delicious beer.

I havenít had a coffee stout that tastes more like coffee. Strangely, I think that was the problem with this one. If I want a heavy coffee, Iíll drink that. Sometimes its better to have a hint of the flavor, as opposed to being overwhelmed by it.

33 cl bottle @ One Pint Pub. Rated on 19.02.2010
Aroma has coffee, some truffles and dark chocolate. Flavour has mocha, some dark chocolate, licorice and hints of cocoa. Feels a bit thin but I like the strong coffee aromas here.

Pours black with 1 finger of foam that recedes. You can smell the coffee from pouring the bottle, rich expresso and roasted malt. The taste is the same as it smells, and nice and dry but thin and could use some sweetness for my palate.

Dark brown pour that you can see through with ruby highlights. Decent head and lacing. Aroma is a strange coffee smell that I almost don't recognize. A little funky. Taste is of light roasted coffee with hops noticeable in background. Very thin mouthfeel and highly carbonated. Not my cup of tea (or coffee as the case may be). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours brownish black with just a little light coming through. Small tan head with decent lacing. Smell is fresh ground coffee beans with only a vague hint of malt. Taste is strong coffee with some roasted malt and very little choclate. Thin watery mouthfeel. Not great for a coffee stout. Go for the Founders or Samuel Smith. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Schlafly St. Louis. Pours a brown appearance with a tan head. Roasty coffee, nice toffee, vanilla, enticing aroma. Dark fruity, plum, caramel coffee, a touch syrupy flavor. Iím a bit mixed but I think I like it.

On tap at Schlafly Taproom. Pours a black color with off white head. Dark coffee grounds, burnt malty flavors. Very forward pure coffee grounds flavor. I like it.

The coffee comes through loud and clear, especially in the aroma, without overwhelming the bittersweet chocolate of the stout. Tasty stuff.
