Slightly hazy amber with a milk-colored head. Aroma is a bit of malt with just a hint of hops. Nice guzzler, clean dry maltiness with a small accent of German hoppy bitterness on the finish. Good beer.

On tap at Schlafly Tap Room. Comes a hazy pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, florals, and malt. Taste is malt, grain, citrus, and grass. Very light. Decent.

Bottle. Looks only a shade darker than a pale lager. Clean, crisp flavors of corn and straw, maybe something citrus in the finish. As refreshing of a beer as I've had in awhile.

Pours a pale golden with a thin white head that doesn’t stay around long. Weak aroma reminds me of something American. :( Tastes OK, but nothing really stands out here. No intense malt or hop flavors, everything is subdued, with a hint of sourness. Had it for lunch, goes OK with food, but I’d rather have a pale ale. Not a repeat for me.

This is refreshing, if you want something with a little flavor that won’t freak out people that are used to light beers this is a pretty good choice.

Slightly cloudy yellow, splotchy white head. Smells grainy, grassy, with a faint whiff of fruit. Flavor is bready, with a bit of corn and grassy. Dry, slightly woody finish.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow body with a small fizzy white head that faded pretty quickly. The nose is pretty light, slightly fruity with a light floral hoppiness, light pale maltiness. The flavor is pretty decent, lightly bready with a light hoppiness. While the hops are fairly light, I figure that it’s to style, just a light bitterness on the back end mixing with doughy malt and a slight fruitiness. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation, a bit lacking in crispness for me, but it’s not bad. Not a bad drinker, but I can’t help feel that I’ll never get a true feel for this style until I travel to Cologne and have them at the source of the style.

Pours golden with smallish head but very good lacing. Aroma isn’t much - kind of like dirty socks with earth and wheat. Taste is dirt and malt with some sweetness - finishes better than it starts. This is my first kolsch. It’s drinkable.

This beer is a golden color with a fleeting white head, and the aroma is quite subtle with the malt scent coming through. The taste is mildly sour and slightly sweet, but the thin texture, medium-light body, average carbonation, and abrupt finish do combine nicely.
