Bottle. Nose is fruity. Taste had some sourness with some nice malt sweetness. Maybe a little too sweet, but I like this beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap @ Birch & Barley. Golden with white head and decent lacing. Smells citric and crisp and metallic with a little cereal. Grainy and light. Just a smidge towards sweet (but not sweet). Would like it to be a bit crisper.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle poured into a stemmed Belgian tulip glass. The aromas, although not offensive, are not overly interesting. It’s primarily bread and grain. It pours a crystal clear yellow with a soapy, coarse white head which retains well and leaves above average lacing. The taste is a medium sweet with a light bitter. There’s lots of soft carbonation and an oily texture with a light body, so it goes down rather easily. The finish is kinda like a lemon scone, but more bready and grainy than sugary. There’s also some butter in there with some dry grass. The aftertaste lingers for a moderate amount of time and mostly consists of grains and cereal.

Although, not distinguishable in appearance, this is a refreshing brew. Crisp taste with a clean finish. Not bad.

Bottle at home. Pours clear gold with a medium, fizzy and tight-bubbled white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is sweet Pils malt, DMS corn notes, faint spicy Noble hops and a subtle fruity stone fruit ester component. Flavor is clean and crisp Pils malt, light spicy Noble hops, light-medium hop bitterness, malt focused with light stone fruit esters, faint DMS notes and a lightly sweet finish with a pleasant faint lingering lemon/citrus tartness. Light body, moderate carbonation.

On draft. Hazy golden color. Some happy fizziness. Some grassy hop flavor. Nothing particularly distinct thereafter. Thin, even by the standards of a fairly thin style.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Mild to moderately hazy golden body with a dense but short lived white head.
Aroma: Oddly I’m getting Swedish Fish on the nose and once I’ve smelled that it’s all that I can smell.
Taste: Tastes like a clean ale with a mild Swedish Fish flavor throughout. Slightly spicy finish.
Palate: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: What odd flavors to taste in a kolsch, what is going on here? It’s not unpleasant though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours lightly hazy & perfectly golden with a big semi-loose head.
The aroma is nice, minerally with a decent herbal hop character. Clean & inviting.
The flavor is clean, a touch sweet up front with a dry finish. The bitterness is mild but enjoyable & somewhat balancing. It’s got a light herbal hop character, some honey, and some doughiness.
A nice version of the style I think.
