Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Looks solid; a completely transparent light gold with white lacing. Smells and tastes of mild dough and light spices. Average on the palate. An interesting Kolsch.

An easy beer to drink. I could see this as a thirst quencher while helping a friend move. I didn’t notice any aroma and it has a buttery honey flsvor .

Not bad for style. Hint of sourness reminiscent of the brewer’s nasty aunt. Pours clear orange with decent head and lacing. Mostly malt with a little malt but not a huge amount of overall character. Tap at Churchkey.

12 oz bottle The ale poured a clear gold color with vary small head and no lacing. A light aroma of sweet malt and fruit. The light body ale had soft carbonation. This is drinkable ale but not special.

Small sample poured from 12 oz. bottle in a beer class at Total Wine and More in McLean, VA. Clear, gold color with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of mild grainy malt and a hint of fruit. Light taste of grainy malt and mild hops. Medium/light body and medium/low carbonization. An innocuous beer, light with little flavor. Better than a macro, but nothing to garner my interest. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a light tan color. taste is like a crisp lager pilsner with a taste of hops and barley. Decent drinkability with a good aftertaste/.... nothing out of the ordinary

Aroma is like a typical kolsh, but with an unusual fruitiness that I usually do not encounter in this style. Flavor is quite sour; upon drinking there is a sour malt character that reminds me of a slightly hoppier Oktoberfest. Initially crisp on the palate, but a bit too sweet, and somewhat heavy. I find it hard to believe that this is only 4.8% ABV...I can taste the alcohol more than usual for a beer in this range. An interesting beer, but heavier than I expect for this style. Enjoyable but not really true to this style. I would appreciate a lighter, less sweet beer, with the alcohol less noticeable. I enjoyed the interesting fruity quality to the hops though.

Boutip (4490) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 15, 2013
Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of buttery notes with light cereal notes also discernible. Taste is also dominated by unrefined grainy notes with light buttery aftertaste. Body is about average with medium carbonation. Definitely not as good as most example of the style.

Draft - pours straw with white head. Nose is floral cardboard. Little bitter like raw grass.
