COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Milk Chocolate Stout is a Sweet Stout brewed with milk sugar for a creamier texture. The brew is aged on roasted gourmet Guitard cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans for a rich, sweet treat. The low hop content of the brew gives the chocolate flavors the lead in this twist on the traditional stout.

Had some of my wifeís pint at 30hop in Coralville. Pours a deep brown color with a nice khaki head that eventually settles into a ring and laces the glass. Notes of cocoa, vanilla, cream, chocolate, caremel, mild roast - straightforward, really, but thatís part of its charm. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Creamy, sweet, smooth, and balanced. Nice sweet stout. Glad I finally got a chance to try it.

On tap at Big Stick, 16 oz pour. Appearance is dark brown, almost black. Aroma is lactose, chocolate malts, and vanilla. Taste is similar, very rich and chocolatey. I imagine eating with dessert, making it a double, lol. Palate is medium to heavy. Overall, a rich treat, but I donít suggest downing quickly because you are in a hurry. Take time to enjoy it instead. One of the better stouts.

Draft the pours opaque dark brown to black with beige head. Has an oily lacing. Aroma is vanilla. Chocolate and roasted mslts in that order. The flavor is pretty much the same nice vanilla and chocolate combo with the roasted malts underneath. Balanced nicely. On the end you get that nice sweetness.

Aroma: Iced hot chocolate. Appearance: Ruby black with a sticky tan head that settles into a skin. Flavor: Matches the nose; very low roast or bitterness. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Well executed and as advertised, but a little simplistic. Still, I canít deny itís a tasty beer. Dessert beer worthy.

Keg @ Meridian Pint. Deep brown with a small head. Nose of strong milk chocolate. Sweet, nostalgic, and inviting. Roast dark chocolate. Quite sweet. Simple, pleasing stuff.
