11th June 2011 Hazy amber beer, short lived white head. Zesty lemon citrus. A little honey and very mild bourbon. This actually works pretty well and the whole 750 slipped down fine after a hard days work.

Thanks to my summer Secret Santa for sending this along! This is one damn quirky beer, that’s for sure. Cloudy deep orange pour with a fairly inconsistent carbonation. Strong nose of lemon, tart/ripe yeast, and grass. The sharpness of Citra hops doesn’t work especially well with the lemon and the honey to me, nor the bourbon aging. Never been a fan of hop toddies, though, so that’s helping things I suppose. Very interesting experiment and kudos for the attempt, but not really my thing.

shared with friend. orangish hazy color with minimal white head. not sure what this concoction is suppose to be but the aroma is of citrus and honey and bourbon...with that lemon juice and the citrus almost seems overpowering. the sips that i had were again strong citrus/lemon and honey and on the backend was the bourbon. the warmer this got the more the honey and bourbon came thru but was twisted with this lemon thing..maybe a bit to much i dont know...

Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy orange amber with a small off white head. The aroma had toasted wheat bread, caramel, acidic citrus, sweet honey and subtle bourbon notes. The flavor opened with more toasted bread, caramel with tangy citrus. The lemon juice hits midway with an increasing bourbon and vanilla presence. Mouth feel is softer. Worth a try.

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit II, courtesy of foppa78. Hazy light peach orange appearance with an off white head. A touch tangy, citrusy, honey, wheat malty, light woody aroma. Somewhat tangy, tangerine-orange-lemon citrusy, honey, light bourbon, wheat malty flavor. Interesting but not something I’d buy again if I had the chance.

750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy honey to orange-amber color. Aroma of pineapple, peach, honey, floral, pine. Flavor is pineapple, sour orange, honey, peach, lavender, wood, with a hint of bourbon. This is a phenomenally fruity beer. It reminds me of a scratch mai tai made with a splash of bourbon...but beer.
