I liked it. I thought it was a really smooth and sweet stout. Had some of the sweeter elements of caramel throughout.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Vova’s place. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Black with a tan head. Aroma of lots of coffee, cocoa, roasted grains and a bit of drier dark fruits. Roasty flavor, slightly sweetish, slightly smoky, with coffee, some chocolate and a drier finish. Medium-bodied, slightly creamy oatmeal mouthfeel. A nice one.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass. Very dark brown with a small dark beige head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Heavy roasted flavors, burned coffee, medium bitterness and dark cocoa. Medium body, creamy and dry enough and slightly too alcoholic. Cool.

First chance for me to try an offering from this brewer, and as a stout lover I give this a solid thumbs up. Espresso colored with thin tan head, aroma not prominent. Cocoa overtones, bitter but not unpleasant finish.

Poured from the bottle into a snifter. Pours a dark brown almost black with a small tan head. Aroma consists of coffee, chocolate, grain, and caramel. Taste is light on the chocolate flavor and focuses more on the oats used. Big bodied beer with loads of carbonation and a nice sticky mouth feel. Good stuff

On tap poured into a shaker. The aroma is fresh baked oatmeal, raisin, and chocolate chip cookies. It pours an opaque black brown with an espresso colored head. The head reduces to a medium thick, creamy ring with an okay surface dusting, and has a runny sheet lace. The taste is medium light bitter and medium sweet. There’s lots of small bubble, prickly carbonation in this slick, medium-full bodied beer. The finish is mostly chocolate with some oatmeal raisin cookie. The aftertaste has moderate staying power with notes of roasted grains.

On tap @ Schlafly. Black in color with a khaki head. Black pour with a khaki head. Lots of roasted malt and coffee aromas. Some oatmeal cookie, cocoa powder, and toffee. Nice malt sweetness to the flavor. Lots of toffee and cookie dough. Roasted malt and coffee bitterness. Slight acidity on the finish. Plenty of dark chocolate, too.
