Black ,thin head,some lacing.
Aroma is malty chocolate, plum, anise, fruit, and a strong vannilla oakish, kindof woodiness.Comes off as an exotic type fruit. I guess it would be the raison,I think its some yeast esters.Fine tobacco.
Taste is same as aroma all of those notes intensify in a complex taste. This is a really good oatmeal stout. Has a nice unique character to it.

Solid black, with a spritzy head that quickly dissipates. Very smooth with a nice round mouth feel. Sweet, but not too sweet. Has a very roasted bitterness. I’m not crazy about oatmeal stouts, but this is a good one.

This beer is black with a very minimal tan head, and the aroma is quite malty. It is also quite slick inside your mouth with a slightly bitter taste.

Bottle. Chocolate and light coffee malt aroma. Dark brown with a moderate tan head. Sweet chocolate and roasty malt, subtle roasty bitter finish. Medium body, light carbonation. The whole thing is a little too sweet for my taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 11/6/12
Aroma: The nose has some roast, sweet malts, toffee, caramel, oatmeal, and hints of coffee
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a thick, frothy, light brown head and medium-plus lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly sweet and malty, with less roast then the nose, and a sweet, earthy finish
Palate: The body is medium, with an average carbonation, slightly chalky feel, and finishes sticky/dry
This one is alright, but not good enough to be a favorite for me. Overall though, I found it to be plenty solid and enjoyable. I would certainly drink it again.
