Subtle hop and cereal nose after an amber pour. Highly carbonated. A well balanced and drinkable, if workmanlike, pale ale. A good 6 pack beer

Bottle courtesy of Blipp at Andys. Pours a light golden body with reserved white lacing. Aroma is pine, light hop and decent amount of malt. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of pine hop, light floral character, caramel malt and spice. Not a bad EPA.

Bottle. Black tea malt and light fruit aroma. Hazy orange amber with a small off-white head, moderate lacing. Slightly toasty tea-like malt flavor, no significant hops presence. .. but I still like it. Light body, soft carbonation. Very sessionable.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 elgiacomo (734) - Ringgold/Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, USA - APR 14, 2013
12oz bottled January 8, 2013. Served at around 40-45F.
Pours lightly hazy amber with a one finger white head that leaves some nice lacing and holds a good cap.
Aroma is earthy hops, bready malt, light caramel, hint metallic. Good strength.
Flavor features more hops than the aroma, earthy, resinous, some citrus hops, bready malt with a bit of sweet caramel, good bitterness on the finish. Minimal alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little creamy, a little sticky, good carbonation.
Nice English-style Pale with some decent hops in the flavor. Refreshing and easy to drink.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 blipp (4784) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - APR 6, 2013
Bottle. Pours amber with a beige head. Lightly sweet malts, a hint of flowery hops, and a relatively clean finish. Not bad.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 rangerred (663) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - MAR 19, 2013
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear light copper with a one finger white head. A steady stream of bubbles keeps the head on this one for quite some time along with tons of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Caramel and dark toast in the aroma along with some metal which does detract. Some lemon along with hay and grass in the background.
A mix of caramel and hay on the taste with a little bit of medium toast. Just a light bitterness to go along with the grassy hops with plenty of carbonation; maybe a little too much. Decent mouthfeel for having such low abv finishing with a bit of stickyness.
Overall, a nice take on an EPA and definitely a sessionable beer. I just wish there was a little more depth to the flavor.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DukeBrewDevil (724) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Bottle. A solid enough malt body that isn't supported by much hopping. Some stale English tasting hops, a little caramel. Finishes sweet and slightly tart. A pretty bland pale ale. Perhaps my bottles were old?
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tonyth1965 (30) - Illinois, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Had this on tap at Flamingo Row in Paducah, KY. Tap was so cold the head froze, so lacing was compromised. Pours a medium amber, good carbonation. This is a good copy of an English pale ale. Schlafly likes their hops. It has plenty.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 naivepegasus (307) - USA - JAN 21, 2013
Pours a cloudy orange with a thin film of soapy head. Slight sweet straw aroma. Light mouthfeel that slowly builds a soft nutty taste that fades into a grassy bitterness. Not much in the way of hops, not particularly notable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 burg326 (2326) - Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2013
12 ounce bottle pours an amber orange color with aromas of ligt pine, citrus, a touch of caramel and some pineapple. Flavors are loaded with pine and caramel, not much citrus light bitter aftertaste.
