Nate (2466), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 27, 2007 Bottle courtesy of foureyedgeek. Amazing pumpkin pie aroma with all the spices, cinammon in particular - can’t really say much else about that. Clear amber-brown with thin off-white lacing head. Medium-thick body with medium carbonation. Starts with a dry spiciness with awesome pumpkin pie spices and sweetness infused in a light amber ale. Light floral hops and bitterness. Pumpkin spices throughout with spicy finish and mild apple sweet finish.
yobdoog (1021), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Jun 16, 2009 One of the better pumplin beers I have had. Even with some age on it. Great spices with some pumpkin flesh too. Nice sweet balance with brown sugar to go with the pie spices. Nice. Dickinsonbeer (3281), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jun 14, 2009 Bottle at PPRBSG 09. Pours a mostly clear filtered look with a filmy white head. Aroma is typical all spice, pumpkin character, clovey and cinnamon, nutmeg, etc with light caramel malts, hints of toffee, and metallic copper hints. Ok pumpkin flavor, sweet, orangey caramel, toasted malts, fruity esters, allspice, and hints of pine and pumpkin pie. Ok. j12601 (631), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Jun 6, 2009 Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aromas of clove and cinnamon and light pumpkin spice. Flavor follows the nose mostly, ending with a crisp light bitterness. LilBeerDoctor (1291), East Setauket, New York, USA Jun 5, 2009 Bottle at PPRBSG09. Pours a clear orange. Aroma of sweet pumpkin pie. Some crust too, but mostly pie. Flavor of cinnamon, sweet crust, and lots of pumpkin spices. Quite good (especially considering it’s out of season). One of my favorite pumpkin beers.
8/4/8/4/15 (3.9/5) Rciesla (2800), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA May 31, 2009 PPRBSG. Pours a brown body with a tan head. Pumpkin pie and vanilla and cinnamon clove notes. Very nice pumpkin brew doesn’t taste artificial at all. cbkschubert (1852), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA May 30, 2009 12 oz. bottle via trade with beastiefan2k - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a thin off white head. Aroma is spicy, but not much pumpkin. Again, flavor is spice and light pumpkin. Medium body. It’s no Southern Tier Pumpkin, but it’s not bad. Thanks Eugene. dwaggs2 (501), Warrensburg, Missouri, USA Feb 28, 2009 Bottle. This definitely isn’t my favorite style at all. However, I decided to grab a 6 of these. For a pumpkin beer, not bad at all. One of the better pumpkin beers I have ever tried. Pours a hazy orange color with no head. Aroma is pumpkin, nutmeg, spice, and cinnamon. Taste is all the same. Almost too much pumpkin flavor though, couldn’t really taste the other flavors. Decent beer though. sebletitje (1499), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 16, 2009 courtesy of tilley4
This one belongs up there with the best of pumpkin beers, and certainly is in my top 5 for the pumpkin style.
Pours copper - orange with white head.
Aroma is of course of pumpkin with a blend of other spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) with light caramel. Overall everything, it left a nice sweet nose.
Taste, not flooded with pumpkin but really well balanced with the other spices so none really come more across than the other. The mouthfeel was amazing with a light dough / butter cream palate enhanced by the spices, mostly cinnamon.
Medium carbonation with nice tingly palate and a warming after taste.
