COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Quadrupel is, as its name implies, a serious beer. But don’t be intimidated. This fourth beer in our bottle-conditioned Belgian-style beer series has a rich, malty backbone that is generously balanced by select, fresh hops to create a luscious, smooth character. Sharing it with friends enhances the enjoyment, whether in front in front of a roaring fire or at the finest dinner party. Quadrupel will be available year-round, but in limited quantities, with the initial batch being 150 cases.

Bottle courtesy of thirdeye11. Pours amber/red with a small off-white head. The aroma is caramel malt with some yeast, dark fruits and a little tartness. The flavor is more of the same with some alcohol, heavy malts, dark fruits and the same tart fruit that I got in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel. Very solid American-made quadrupel.

Bottle. Poured a darker amber color with an off white head. Aroma was fruity, malty, and plums. Flavor was sweeter. Plum, fig, and warming alcohol as it went. Medium body, with light carbonation. A good beer, something was missing to make this a great beer though.

hopscotch (9151) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 13, 2009
Bottle… Pours clear and dirty orange with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The aroma is a multitude of dark fruits; standouts being dates and raisins. Full-bodied and silky with tingly carbonation. The flavor parallels the aroma; sweet and chock full of dark fruits – dates, raisins, alcohol and a suggestion of fig. Well-balanced, warming finish.
