This unfiltered wheat ale is flavored with raspberry for a delicious summer refresher.

Nice raspberry in the aroma, but the rest of the berr doesn’t do a lot to support it. More of a typical American wheat beer than a hefe under that raspberry.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy, golden amber body with a thin, white, fizzy head that dissipates quickly leaving a light, fizzy lacing. Aroma is some wheat malts, yeast, and slightly tart fruits (mostly citrus with some raspberry highlights). Flavor is initially some lighter wheat malts with a bit of sweet raspberry flavoring. The middle is slightly yeasty with the raspberries blending into the wheat malts. The finish is mostly sweet wheat with a touch of lingering raspberry. Medium to light bodied with an even finish and a touch of tartness. Overall, a decent tasting wheat with a touch of raspberry tartness. Not bad at all, but not too exciting...although the touch of raspberry is enjoyable.

Had on tap at Schlafly’s brew pub. Arrives to the table looking exactly like ruby red grapefruit juice; cloudy, pinkish in color, and a small bubbly head. Aroma is very light with notes of some yeast and raspberry fruit. Beer has a modest body, a creamy texture and some pretty lively carbonation. Flavor has raspberry really coming through, though not overly strong as in most fruity beers. Wheat and yeast show up as well but not as prevalent as in most hefes and it finishes with a heavy overall sweetness. Raspberry seems to quell the normal wheat characteristic in the hefe. Overall a good beer but could not get over the fact that it looked like raspberry, kept expecting a tart citrus flavor instead of a sweet fruity one.

Pours an amber hue into the glass with a small white head. Smells of yeast with a hint of raspberry. I taste the smallest hint of raspberry imaginable on the palate with this one. They probably could’ve called this a hefeweizen and never mentioned the raspberry and I may not have noticed. This was a good beer and I enjoyed it but I was a bit disappointed at the lack of raspberry with this one.

Very underwhelming. I was very excited and grabbed a six pack. But where o where is the raspberry. It practically isn’t there. I’m not drinking it on a warm day, but still no aroma, no flavor. This is 35 days old so I’d expect it to be decent. Just disappointing.

Slight rose tint to the appearance. Raspberries are present on the nose, however less apparent in the taste. Not bad.

355 ml bottle. Pours a clear peach toned amber with an almost non-existent head. Light fruity nose with slight yeast esters. Light, somewhat thin body. Tart raspberry up front against a very subtle malt profile with minimal bitterness. Semi-sweet finish.

Tasted 9/1/08. Growler from the Tap Room. Hazy with a straw amber hue. Bone white layer of head. Subtle yet ample estery aromas. Light to medium bodied with tight effervescence. Tart with citrus notes. Nice fruity mix to a solid base beer. Mild tart cherry character. Mild and sweet and smooth. Easy and smooth with a potentialy high drinkability. Overall, tart, grainy and slightly above decent.
