Tasted 9/1/08. Growler from the Tap Room. Hazy with a straw amber hue. Bone white layer of head. Subtle yet ample estery aromas. Light to medium bodied with tight effervescence. Tart with citrus notes. Nice fruity mix to a solid base beer. Mild tart cherry character. Mild and sweet and smooth. Easy and smooth with a potentialy high drinkability. Overall, tart, grainy and slightly above decent.

From the brewpub in St. Louis, this draft pour came the color of pink grapefruit juice with a white head tinged with pink. Nose of raspberry as you would expecdt, and some grassy hops. Somewhat fizzy mouthfeel. Flavor is of caramel malts and raspberry, and the finish is sweet and dry.

Literally looks like pink lemonade. Smells like dry raspberry fruit. Taste is like barley malt and dried raspberries. Mouthfeel is medium fizzy. Finish is like dry and salted raspberry fruit.

Pours a pale hazy peach color with a two finger creamy pink head. The nose is sweet, raspberry syrup, wheaty, a bit sour. The flavor is sweet, a little tart, raspberry syrup here too, wheat and a light sourness. The palate is clean with little carbonation.

Draught at Saint Louis Brewery Schlafly. Pours hazy ruby with a large, creamy, off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, meal), average hops (grass), average yeast (earth) with notes of raspberry. Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Cloudy pink amber with a white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of raspberry, yeast and dough. Body is semi-thin, watery and grainy with some wheat and mild raspberry in there. Somewhat astringent finish that leaves a bad aftertaste. I like what Schlafly has to offer unless the words hefe-weizen appear in the name.

Bottled Mar 28 2008. Only slightly artificial raspberry syrup nose with an underlying wheat base. Icky dirty-looking watermelon-pink body, clear with a soapy white head. Goopy, slick body, refreshing with a dry, bready wheaten aftertaste. Razz taste isn’t actually as bad as expected, mild and fruity, though without a bit more carbonation the overall effect is rather sterile. Light body. Expecting more out of you guys! But would have another.
