Appearance: kind of a notably pinkish-tan color, somewhat cloudy, with a one finger pinkish-white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Lacing was minimal. Smell: Notable raspberries although not overpoweringly so. Some wheat and some yeasty aromas come through. Light, but nice. Taste: a pretty nice brew. The fact it’s a hef comes through in a gentle, non-overbearing way, accented with subtle yet ample raspberries. Body/mouthfeel: light and easy to drink. Aftertaste is lightly raspberry with a little yeast. Overall: pleasant, a good summer brew, even if not spectacular. What I like about this beer is its simplicity and subtleties. The raspberry is very nice, lightly sweet with a touch of tart, but not sicky-sweet or too in your face. Not that I don’t like heavily fruity beers - in fact I love them. But that wasn’t what I was looking for here, I was looking for a lightly fruity lawnmower beer, and that’s what Schlafly provides in this brew. Do I think this is Schlafly’s best beer ever? Definitely not. But it’s tasty and light and the ABV is moderate, so if you’re just thirsty on a hot summer day, go ahead and try it.

color is a beautiful salmon pink the head is white and leaves some thin lacing. aroma is weak, just slightly smelling of raspberries. taste has a soft raspberry flavor that fades into a strong malty profile. overall i could use more razz.

Sampled on draft at the Tap Room, STL. Pours cloudy pink lemonade in color with an adequate white head and notable lacing. It’s quite an attractive beer. Aroma was subtle, tart raspberry. I hate it when I get a strong blast of fruit before I imbibe. Fresh raspberries dominante the flavor with only hints that a hefe is somewhere in the background. Since this is listed as a fruit beer, I’d say it is a great flavor for the style. Light-bodied and moderately carbonated with a dry, crisp finish. Both serious beer drinkers and newbies alike should find favor with this Schlafly offering.

Very underwhelming. I was very excited and grabbed a six pack. But where o where is the raspberry. It practically isn’t there. I’m not drinking it on a warm day, but still no aroma, no flavor. This is 35 days old so I’d expect it to be decent. Just disappointing.

A big hit for this brewery. They set aside two kegs for their September festival this year after they ran out in 2000. Really too flavorful for me as I prefer fruit tastes to be an afterthought to malts and hops. Yet I still rate this beer high given that it achieves at what it sets out to be. The raspberry taste is very prevelant and permeates the entire drink. It is in the bouquet, you taste it immediately upon drinking, and the fruity twang hangs around after swallowing. In body it’s pretty similar to the Schlafly Hefeweizen, an example of a good American wheat. However, any citrus tastes that are present are masked by the raspberry adjunts. An excellent refresher and popular with the ladies.

Not the smell of raspberry that I was anticipating. It is generally weak sauce, with decent, at best, flavor.

Pours pink with little head. Aroma is slight raspberry and wheat. Taste is very tart and not welcoming. Not interested in trying this again.

Sweet aroma of raspberries, pours with an unusual pink tint. Thick, but rapidly disappearing head also with a pink tint. Tastes like raspberry flavored water with little hints of wheat. Very thin body. Almost too thin. An ok beer, definitely not one of Schlafly’s best.

355 ml bottle. Pours a clear peach toned amber with an almost non-existent head. Light fruity nose with slight yeast esters. Light, somewhat thin body. Tart raspberry up front against a very subtle malt profile with minimal bitterness. Semi-sweet finish.
