Appearance: The appearance is expected of a 2 year old imperial stout, pitch black body and almost no head, not even a ring after the head dissipates quickly.
Aroma: The main aromas here are oak, bourbon, and vanilla, there are some cocoa notes as well, but mostly the bourbon barrel. Nothing is overly assertive here, it’s rather mellow.
Taste: I get some chocolate on the intro, but the oak, vanilla, and bourbon come in the mid-taste and take over the flavor on the finish, with perhaps light raisin notes by now. Again nothing is overly assertive, but the barrel notes are prominent.
Palate: Medium to thick bodied with very light carbonation.
Overall: This has been aging for 2 years in unknown conditions so I’m not sure how fair it is to review this, but the beer is decent. The barrel notes are a bit too prominent, but I could see this pairing nicely with various food.

Bottle shared from artmcd8. Poured lack with smooth tan head. Pleasant vanilla coconut aroma. Quite smooth light bourbon choco taste. Decent.

Pours a dark brown color. With a tan head. Aroma of sweet bourbon. The taste of bourbon is there with a bit of vanilla flavor. Some slight tang to the taste. Not as thick as I would want.

Strong flavors of vanilla, caramel, and bourbon with a nice roasty with a slight tart / metal flavor. Overall quite good.

(750ml bottle thanks to SaucerSam) cloudy medium brown, soapy creamy tan bubbles. Nose of graham crackers, bourbon barrel, cream, lactose, alcohol, vanilla. Taste is oddly fruity, huge barrel flavor, vanilla, plum/raisin, some odd flavors working together here but smells great.

Thanks Dave! Pours a reddish/brown with a smallish tan head with small lacing. Candied fruit, rich malt, caramel. Taste follows nose with a little bitter/dry to it on the aftertaste. Medium body, delicate carbonation..pretty nice. Overall a decent sipper.

Excellent b.a. imperial stout. Pour from bottle into snifter, pitch black with lasting medium body tan head. Notes of oak, dark chocolate and alcohol. Very smooth mouth feel with a roasted finish. Big flavors in this beer!

On tap at the Bier Station in KC. Comes a very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, bourbon, coffee, vanilla, and caramel. Excellent Imperial Stout.

Bottle. Pours a black color with tan head. Oak, roasty, bourbon, and slight coconut aromas. Bourbon, vanilla, oak, chocolate, roasty flavors. Tasty.
