Dark brown almost black in color, has a average foamy clingy tan head that leaves a clingy blacing in my glass, has a sweet fruity, bready and smokey aromas. Nice sweet fruity cherry smokey flavors, balanced with a decent amount of hops, nice burnt bitter finish, medium body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel, pretty damn good.

One of the best scotch ales I’ve had. Excellent- dry, slightly fruity, with a bit of toffee and chocolate. Highly recommended.

Very dark amber/copper color with a minimal head and fair lacing. Fruity and lightly smoky aroma, plums, apple butter and fudge with a very faint sour or vinous note. This ale had a good medium body and was fresh tasting and creamy, with lots of toasty malt, caramel and background chocolate in the flavor. Clean smooth finish, a little sweet and a little dry, that just made me feel like having another one. Cheers!

Characteristic "peat smoke" presence. Very smokey taste and typical malt dominance. Good example

On tap at Blueberry Hill...pours a deep red hue, almost no head at all. Aroma is malty and warm, with a hint of alcohol and hops. Flavor is of sweet malts, dark fruit, and a bit of hops at the end. Finish is quite sweet. Very enjoyable.
