crystal clear light golden with a good white head. good lacing. grassy hoppy aroma with a nice light fruity malt background. bitter sweet grassy malty flavor. light body. just a little too carbonated. not bad refreshing...but not that great.

Sep 30, 2008 I like this style for the summer. Pours an incredibly pale light yellow color with a white head. Has a lot more flavor than what this thing looks like it might deliver. Aroma of toasted grain, malt. Some straw and hay as well. Flavor is slightly light malt, bread, grain. Light bodied and refreshing.

Sep 27, 2008 Beer pours form the bottle a very clear yellow, nice white foamy head and a lot of carbonation. Aroma is very strong of apple cider. The flavor is really light and slightly dry finish. What flavor there is, is of pale malt and very light lemon flavor. Not much else to it. Pretty simple boring beer.

Sep 13, 2008 Great golden color. Little to no head with zero lacing. Nicely balanced malt\hop flavor. Mildly sweet with nice finish. This is probably my favorite American version of this style

Aug 31, 2008 This beer is light, yet well balanced and bodied as stated on the bottle itself. It has flavour and yet is not overpowering. This is probably my favourite Koelsch - arguably even better than my favourite authentic Koelsch from Koeln (Cologne, Germany) called Frueh.

Aug 13, 2008 Bottle from the Beergeek. Amber gold, nearly orange, color with a minimal white head. Aroma of mild malt and light, fruity hop. Near medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is a bit caramel, which seems odd for the style, and the hop is quite light, just enough for balance, which seems right for the style. About as light and smooth as kolsch should be, just a bit too much malt.
