Pours pale straw yellow with a large white head Smells of citrus and pineapple. Taste is fruity, a little bitter, and a little fruity again. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and supple mouth-carbonation, Schlafly Tasmanian IPA finishes with a smooth sweetness.

Holy hops, batman! Amazing IPA with huge hoppy notes - and these are floral, grapefruit notes, not earthy pine notes...
Rather than editorializing, I'll just say that I really, really loved this beer...

In short: An aromatic exotic-fruity and floral blonde IPA. Excellent.
How: Bottle 12oz, Consumed as soon as we got it through private importation, but already many months after bottling date :(
The look: Cloudy glowing blonde body topped by a long-lasting dense white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: The hoppy is fresh refreshing exotic and tropical fruits with a floral components. So fresh and authentic is the fruity character that I could have believed I was smelling a cocktail of exotic fruits. In mouth the beer feels chewy, full body, many little hard bubbles. A hefty amount of pale malts creating a chewy bread dough sensation. Some residual quickly washed away by the assertive hopping. In mouth the fresh fruits hoppy aroma morphs into a more grassy and resinous flavors while retaining some of the exotic fruits. Bitterness intensity is in the medium-high range. This was one hell of a good IPA especially considering my bottle wasn’t exactly fresh. Not necessarily saying I drink too much but I’m pretty confident none of my neighbours will ever be interviewed on tv and say about me “he was a quiet person who kept to himself”.

I’m a wee bit on the fence about this one. Very unique strong citrusy aroma and fruity hop taste from the single Galaxy hops used. Really grassy. Transparent golden yellow. Crisp, refreshing, yet the downside is a slight bitter aftertaste that lingers much.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a fairly hazy light straw yellow with a one finger white head. Ok lacing and head retention and really the overall appearance isn’t all that impressive.
The aroma on this really blows me away! i love the tropical fruit nose this one puts out. Tons of pinapple and mango but there are also some really nice Earthy undertones. A touch of dankness in there even.
The flavor just continues the tropical fruit explosion. More pineapple and mango along with that tea-like earthiness that is present in the aroma. Bitterness is on the medium to high side along with a slightly chalky mouthfeel. More stickyness in the finish than I was anticipating but it works.
Overall, a very tasty IPA. I love the Galaxy hop and it is showcased beautifully here. A really nice, unique, IPA that is worth picking up.

2013. Poured 11/27/13. Translucent straw color with a big, fluffy white head. Aroma is grass, leafy, spicy, earthy, lots of leafy aromas, hint or resin, some pineapple. Taste is spicy, earthy, pineapple, surprising sweetness, mild flavors, juicy, fruity, touch of apple cider and pineapple juice; finish is long on fruity notes and apple peel bitterness. Nice lacing. Medium carbonation. Medium-light body. Low carbonation. Really tasty. Mild Australian hop flavor is really nice.

Glowing and orange in the glass. Orange, pineapple, pine, cedar, sweet bread, and lemon. Hoppy and spicy on the palate. Very long and complex. balanced by a hefty but complex malt. A little caramel, and a little toasted cereal. Very good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light and effervescent brew. Glaxy hops are more restrained in this one which makes it pleasant and tropical fruity.
