Wow...what a surprise from Schlafly. They made a phenomenal IPA with this one. Pours a golden/orange color with a good white head. Aroma of orange/citrus, some grapefruit. Taste is citrus, a balance of some bitterness and sweetness on the palate. This is a great IPA. Reminds me of some of my favorites. Well deserving.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is quite the yellow IPA, with slow-rising bubbles, a frothy white head, and some tiny, nondescript particles floating in circulation. It has a neat, rustic, pleasantly grainy nose. The hop aroma is really interesting, with some slight citrus and tropical fruits adding a neat twist. Itís wicked in the mouth, packed with rich, fruity hop flavors (yes, Iím actually tasting pineapple here), delivered via a smooth, full, almost creamy mouthfeel. This is a very unique beer in nearly every respect. Itís almost unlike any IPA Iíve ever had, yet itís still very drinkable and satisfying. No, you donít get any of your stereotypical hop flavor (no pine, no resin, no green herbalness). Instead you get something out of this world - and Iím really impressed! Full and satisfying, it has a great malt flavor, a thick hop presence, and a great bitter bite, all finishing with a delicious, musky fruity sweetness. Get yourself a mouth full of this!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Man this was good. On tap at the Mexican Food Factory. Aroma is tropical fruits: lime, papaya, and apricot. Pours bright amber with a small head. Taste is nice and dank with apricot, resin, papaya, and citrus. A lot of flavors going on at once but by no means muddled. This is a fantastic drink.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich golden and orange coloured body with a dense, three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pungent grapefruit, pineapple, passionfruit and resinous hop notes - with some great scents throughout. Medium to Slightly-Full-Bodied; Strong resinous and piney hop flavour at first with a quite large malt backbone then showing some slightly sweet notes of honey and candy sugar, all fading to a very nice pineapple flavour. Aftertaste shows a great balance, but itís heaviness shows more alcohol and sugars than hops. Overall, a great single origin IPA with a nice set of flavours and some depth from the malt and sugars. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia, sampled after a hockey game on 30-October-2013 - Thanks Kevin!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled October 18, 2013 (Less than a month old).
Appearance: The body is perfectly clear with a bright golden hue with orange tinges. The head is short as well as short lived, settling to a slightly foamy and sparse white coating with a dense foamy ring.
Aroma: Whoa, very resinous, similar to marijuana. After the initial shock the aroma gives some pine with strong grapefruit and bitter orange. The aroma is primarily musky and earthy with that resinous aroma though, in a good way.
Taste: The aroma translates nicely here to the flavor. The intro is resinous with mild marijuana flavors that give way to prominent orange juice flavors, providing a mild bitterness. The finish gets a bit piney and spicy, pushing out the citrus, with the spiciness lingering on my palate for a few moments. This drinks very refreshingly and doesnít taste like itís 7.2%.
Palate: Full bodied with sharp carbonation.
Overall: This is probably the most refreshing IPA that I have ever had. The hop flavor is bold and complex, completely pushing the malts out of the way while never coming off as abrasive. This is a well done IPA, very well done.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Looks great, smells great, and tastes great. Itís crystal clear, almost on the level of something like Nectar Nugget. Lots of carbonation. Big, citrus aroma with notes of pineapple and grapefruit. The flavor opens with a sweet malt, slightly roasty, and finishes strong and bitter and bright. I enjoyed every sip.

Great aroma, really citrusy hops, very nice. Reminds me of Ballast Pointís Sculpin (a favorite of mine) though it has itís own character. Smooth and bitter at the same time. A great brew for IPA lovers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours orange with a sticky white head. Aroma of passion fruit, grass, and alcohol. As it warms, bitterness turns "juicy" and appetizing. Finishes a bit harsh but a fine IPA

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a translucent golden, straw-like, orange color with a finger head that dissipates slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Lots of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of dank, grapefruit, passionfruit, tropical fruits, lots of floral. Not getting much malt presence. Very juicy aroma. Tastes a lot like it smells. Starts with passionfruit and juicy tropical fruits. Then a burst of bitterness comes through, along with a tiny bit of carmel from the malt to lightly balance the hops. The finish brings grapefruit rind, tangerines, more juicy tropical fruits like mango and guava, passionfruit, a slight grain note, and a carmel/honey presence to provide the perfect backbone to showcase the galaxy hops. An assertive bitterness lingers on the palate. Alcohol is nonexistent; would have never guessed it was 7.2%. Medium body. Crisp and refreshing with a creamy and oily mouthfeel. Wow, this an IPA worth seeking out.
