COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schlafly Tasmanian IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops. The Tasmanian hop, Galaxy, is a strong, aromatic variety that is different from traditional strains of the Pacific Northwest. Our brewers developed a recipe that showcases the hop’s unique flavors of citrus and pineapple.

Bottle shared by phaleslu. Pours a clear yellow golden color with a medium sized creamy white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, herbal and some grapefruit hops, lighter sweet malts with a grassy component. Easy drinker with good flavor and mild to moderate bitterness.

12oz bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow med foamy white head. Lots of lacing.
Aroma : Fruity hops with notes of mango and passion fruits. Light floral and piny notes. Nice rich malt as well.
Taste : Piny hops with fruity notes. More piny that on the nose. Finish resinous and piny with some fruits. Nice malt as well. Light spices on the finish with light alcohol.
Palate : Average carbonation and body.
Overall : Quite nice. Feels a bit old already.Interesting hop aroma but the taste is a bit too piny for my taste. A bit too warm on the finish as well. Not bad but I bet it’s much better when really fresh.

Bottle. Slightly hazy gold pour, creamy, lacy white head. Aroma is citrusy, honey notes, definitely a bit of age on this one unfortunately (almost 8 months). Taste is hoppy, bright bitterness, fruity australian hops, flavor was still quite good, pineapple, honey. Bright palate, lively carbonation and light body. Still quite tasty, would love to try it fresh.

Bottle 12 oz. Served in tulip. Pour hazy blond with medium white head. Some lacing. Aroma: explosvie mix of tropical fruits (mango, apricot), citrus (pineapple), hops, malt and resinous. Awesome! Taste is surprisingly bitter, considering the frutiness of the aroma. A tad disapointing. Medium bodied. Good, refreshing IPA

Superbe.

pours hazy light yellow with a nice white head, some retention and lacing. mangoes, papayas, citrus, resin - dankness, dust, white grapes’ skin, vinous notes too. hint of sweetness. clean lightly spicy pale malts. moderate to low carbonation, light body - oily, very nice relatively short tropical-citrusy finish. very solid ipa. i can easily imagine this beer to be awesome if only a tad fresher.

My Bottom Line:
Tropical fruit with citrusy and floral angles stick to this IPA’s cushion-y cereals, leading to a friendly green finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A persistent sheet of foam floats atop the cloudy pale straw blond.
-Mouthfeel is quite effervescent and svelte, making this quite quenching.
-The grassy hop bitterness is well dosed; which also increases drinkability.
-The fruitiness also possesses a lychee-like coating and white grape allusions.
-Barley malts taste like a portion of wheat accompanies them.
-I have a feeling this can be world-class when super fresh.

Bottles.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 Bottled 2012-12-13 so, eh, old. Pours a clear light golden with a fine white head that leaves some intense lacing. Aroma is really nice with mangoes and other tropical fruits dominating. Taste is sweet but not too much with a nice medium level of bitterness. Flavors are light caramel, perfume and flowers. Mouthfeel is nice and oily, body is light and refreshing. Overall a nice one and one that I would like to have as fresh as possible.

One of the best ipa’s ever. Pour is yellow to amber with a med white lingering head. Aroma is just so pleasing full of fruit like pineapple and orange. Hop profile is so unquie never had ipa with this profile before almost like pineapple juice even the non hop lovers mite enjoy.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2013 Une IPA obtenue via Biéropholie.
