Schlafly Tasmanian IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops. The Tasmanian hop, Galaxy, is a strong, aromatic variety that is different from traditional strains of the Pacific Northwest. Our brewers developed a recipe that showcases the hopís unique flavors of citrus and pineapple.

bottle, pours light clear light yellow with a minimal white head. aromas of pine cone, herbs and a touch of sweet rolls. medium bitterness, but different than any other hop flavor ive tasted. its got a good bite on the tongue and a much sublter finish than most IPAs. light bodied, and astringent finish, but a touch of sweetness comes through. pretty good. i may buy more

Bottle poured a light golden color with a thin covering of white head. Aroma has dry citrus, pale malt, and light perfume. Mouth feel is light and there is plenty of carbonation. Flavor has lots of dry citrus, light bitterness, light malt, and a dry perfume finish. Nice and hopped up while being extremely clean.

Pint on tap. Hazy pale yellow with a half inch of meringue. Nose of spicy floral grapefruit and resin. Taste is the same with some light notes of green herb, honeycomb and toast. Light body is super dry and has medium-high carbonation. Typical unbalanced two-note American IPA hop blast, but tastes of quality ingredients and is a pretty decent session ale.

Bottle. Appearance: slightly hazy gold with a one finger white head. Aroma: citrus, pineapple, lemon, grassiness, a little pepper, and some biscuit, doughiness. Taste: lemon and tangerine citrus, pineapple, grassy, floral and tropical fruit hoppiness, light sweet biscuit malt ending mildly floral and pine bitter. Mouthfeel: light to medium body with medium carbonation. Overall: very tasty IPA. I like what the nicely balanced with great Galaxy hop characteristics different than many normal American IPA styles.

Pours clear golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma is soft sweet fruity hops. Flavor is so smooth bringing crispy subtle bitter and sweet hops blending well on the palate. This hop has such a nice profile, unique like the other hops of this region.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a medium creamy white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is tropical citrus, passionfruit, pine. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet and light plus bitterness lingering to the finish. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. I suppose they will get old eventually, but I am still digging these New Zealand/Australia/Tasmania hopped IPAs, and this is no exception.

12oz bottled Dec 13 2012. Served at around 40-45F.

Pours semi-hazy yellow/gold with a one finger white head that leaves lots of spots of lacing and maintains a very good cap.

Aroma is nice lemon citrus, pineapple, somewhat grassy and floral, biscuit, doughy malt. Very good strength.

Flavor is lemon citrus, pineapple, grassy, floral hops, grapefruit rind, tropical fruit, malt is light and unobtrusive, cracker, bread, biscuit. Minimal sweetness, very good bitterness, some alcohol on the finish. Very dry.

Mouthfeel is light/medium bodied, good carbonation.

Wow, this is some awesome stuff! Very hoppy, unbalanced, just the way I like it. Love pineapple in my IPAs and this delivers. Reminds me a bit of a baby Founders Double Trouble.
