Schlafly Tasmanian IPA is brewed with 100% Australian hops. The Tasmanian hop, Galaxy, is a strong, aromatic variety that is different from traditional strains of the Pacific Northwest. Our brewers developed a recipe that showcases the hopís unique flavors of citrus and pineapple.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2012 Very unique IPA brewed with Australian hops. This brew tastes fresh. Slightly fruity (in a good way). Excellent session beer and also holds its own when itís a stand alone beer for the night. Very refreshing and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a deep burnt gold with a fluffy white head. The nose is big and floral with some passionfruit and guava. Light toast in background. Resiny and nice. On tasting, big bitterness and super fruity. Quite clean and fresh, nice toasty malt backbone. Some sweetness comes across as well towards the end. Solid overall, though.

Lots of the Galaxy immediately hits the nose. I also get a lot of hop sweetness that I really enjoy, followed by a good balance of bitterness.

12 oz bottle - pours crystal clear gold, big white fluffy head, fully lasting with great lacing. Beautiful pungent hop aromas of pine, resin, little bit of grapefruit, with oranges folded in. Taste is more of the wonderful same, lots of bitterness with piny notes, little bit of orange on the creamier finish. Medium to crisper palate. Kudos, this is a good one.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light orange with about a finger of white head. Aroma is strongly citrus with a little grass. Medium bitter and light sweet. Loads of citrus and tropical fruits. Medium bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, very good. I could easily drink this one every day.

Bottle from Shawan Liquors. Pours orange with a thin white head. Fragrant grass and citrus notes. Fantastic! Nice malt base with notes of fruity hops. finishes clean. Very nice! Proof that IPAís donít have to be hop bombs to be good.

Small white head with decent retention and a spotty lace that lasts. Clear, light gold, pale lager appearence.Nose is pretty dank with a musty grassiness. Some grapefruit but mostly dank.Body is medium, oily, resiny, juicy. Lotsa pineapple, dankyness, citrus with some buried pine and faint toasty malts. Dry finish with a gentler bite. Toughy. Bottle from statelineliquors.

Golden yellow..slight head..nose of slight pine action with a tinge of mango..mandarin orange..slight cloudiness settles toward bottom..interesting take on an ipa..canít say that I would seek this out again..palate is a bit underwhelming..pineapple comes through on the end..not very memorable in my book...
