What agreat hop and what a great beer to show it off. Lighht golden color, nice enough ale but all about the extreme funky hops.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Huhzubendah (1980) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 10, 2012
The beer is light golden to orange in color with about a quarter inch of white head. The aroma is the best aspect of the beer. Alluring fresh hops and citrus. Tropical fruit flavors. Lightly sweet. Hop forward with enough of a malt bill to give the beer some body, but still showcase the hop character. Delicious beer. At $10 per sixer, this is a must try for any hophead.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 kaips1 (56) - Kentucky, USA - DEC 8, 2012
bottled 11/29/12 poured into a founders snifter/tulip. this beer starts out with this wild hop aroma that is very addicting. the fact that this is basically a smash beer helps to fully get everything out of the galaxy hops. the galaxy is to me what i can imagine is citras wild south pacific cousin. similar profile with a more aggressive wild hop aromas, theres lots of citrus and hits of grapefruit with a slight grassiness that doesnt take anything away from it. the appearance is a of a very clear light gold from the use of just 2-row with a nice frothy head. the taste is undeniable with it coping the aroma the whole way even down to the slight grassiness. the palate is spot on with a light enough body and excellent carbonation. overall this is a steal, if it was a couple bucks cheaper and year round it would score top honors across the board.

Aroma is tropical fruit, citrus and hop resin. The flavor is tropical fruit, kiwi/lime, hop resin and a mix of tartness and heavy bitterness in the finish.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks to tripelhops. Thanks! Pours a pale copper with a large, creamy white head of foam. The aroma comes bursting out of the bottle with notes of mango, cantaloupe, pineapple. Effervescent. The aroma is very fruity and bready. The tropical fruit sweetness in this beer is awesome. Medium body and lighter mouthfeel. Wonderful beer. Glad I got to try it.

Hazed, dark yellow-gold with a short, white head.
Scent is strong pine, citrus peel.
Taste is BIG...tart grapefruit....tropicals...
A syrupy sweet blast that trails off to a simmering bitter.
This is a great tasting IPA....like a good boat-drink with hops.
Very Niiiice!
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jabic (294) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 28, 2012
Ar: Ripe peaches, orange, and mango - some lemon.
Ap: Golden and slightly hazy - large white head with very good retention and a delicate cratered cap of foam.
T: Mango and pineapple up front, juicy and fresh - tropical fruit lingers and mixes with a bright and light malty quality - bitterness creeps up, but is quite firm with a bit of tannin - finish is dry with citrus rind.
P: Medium-light body with high carbonation - finish is very crisp and dry.
O: This is a fantastic IPA - the hop flavors and aromas are really unique and the beer is extremely quaffable and refreshing.

12 oz bottle. This is the first beer I’ve rated in years and the best new IPA I’ve had since Alpha King which is why I felt compelled to rate this. Light carbonation, the color is identical to the outer portion of the label. The aroma is heavy pine cone and citrus with just a hint of cigar. The citrus smacks you and then the resin of the hops hits your tongue and gets more bitter as it lingers. Breathing this in while drinking from a challis is a wonderful experience. This is only available from Oct-Jan and hopefully this will become a year around beer. Excellent IPA.
