Deep amber in color and medium in body, this malty lager is a light version of the Oktoberfest style. (Available mid-March.)

Pours a clear amber with spare head and little lacing. Aromas of caramel malt heavy, with some light, flower hops. Medium bodied with sticky mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Moderately sweet and lightly acidic. I enjoyed this one!

Golden clear appearance. Sweet cherry and strawberry malt aroma, a little grainy as well. Sweet crystal malt flavor, really too much so. Not much beyond that. Bitter and dry bready finish. Ok.

Sampled on tap at the 2012 Schlafly Hop In The City festival. It poured a medium orangish-amber color with a thin but persistent off-white head. Aromas of pils malt, strong caramel, floral and slightly peppery noble (Saaz?) hops. 100% true-to-style Vienna flavors as well: balanced malt sweetness to citrusy hops bitterness, complex caramelized sugars. Light-medium body, average carbonation, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, lasting tangy aftertaste. Low alcohol, super-easy drinking. Just plain enjoyable.

Somewhat lacking in personality. Typical american interpritation where the hop dominates.

Medium brown color with a nice white head. Plenty of hop and some unroasted barley. A bit of hop as well. A light Octoberfest? Well, maybe without all the spices. This one is more straightforward. Enjoyable.

On tap at the Tap Room, bright amber-orang color, with a small white head, toasted, faint caramelized malt nose, with a biscuity dough accent, some floral hop orangey, citrusy aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, toasty, caramel malt, zesty, orange hop fruity character, with some citrus flowery hop bitter accents, leading towards a malty, hop citrusy, dry finish.

Pour is a brown with a foamy white head. Aroma is a nice dose of caramel malts. Flavor is decent with some of the malts and enough hop character to keep this lively. A decent enough beer.

KC tasting. Gold color, off white rocky head. Light malt, light spice, Caramelly, sweet finish.

No substance or style. Nothing like Great Lakes’ excellant Eliot Ness. This one is just dull.

This rating was from the Hop In The City event where brews from the previous year were sampled (5 oz) by the attendees from kegs. This brew poured a very small head of fine to large sized white bubbles that quickly disappeared. It left behind a transparent orange brown colored body. The aroma was that of mild caramel malt and if it was stronger would probably have gotten a nice rating. The mouthfeel was smooth and the flavor was anothe typical mild malt hop one.
