bottle thanks to exiled, cloudy bright yellow pour with thin foam ring, dry wheat, grain aroma with soapy banana and clove flavor, finish is a little short

Bottle- Pours a cloudy straw color with a big head that slowly fades to some lacing. Nice banana smell with a mixture of fresh grain and herbs. Taste is of bananas, slightly sweet with some citrus and wheat mixed in. There is also a mild trace of spice. Light body, crisp and quite smooth with a bit of a sticky aftertaste. Decent drinker, but the banana flavor gets a bit old after having a couple.

Bottle as Bavarian Weissbier. Pour is a cloudy blond with a large white head. Aroma is some banana and clove. Not real pronounced but its there. Flavor is again some banana and clove. Nothing over the top. Finish has some spritzy lemon. Not great but solidly decent.

Sampler at the W&C in Ballwin, Mo. It poured a cloudy yellow with a decent head. The aroma was of banana. The flavor was also of banana, with no noticeable lemon or any real spicy clove. A different take on a Weissbier.

Draft at the Schlafly Tap Room. Served in a nice, tall weizen glass. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a soft, eggshell white head. Aroma and flavor are almost identical- banana, bready malts, clove, wheat, coriander, and lemon citrus. Medium-bodied, with a bready mouthfeel and soft carbonation. This is about as straightforward as it gets for this style, but it’s a damn good one.

Tap. Cloudy yellow pour, white head. Wheat, clove, and banana on the nose. Clove/spice and banana on taste. Just a touch of dryness/hop to the taste.

Draft… Murky straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, smooth, white head. Great retention. The aroma is soapy with additional notes of banana, clove and lemon peel. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and gentle carbonation. Sweet, but not overly so, while providing essences of banana, apricot and clove. Spicy, lightly bitter, dry finish.

Growler from the Tap Room. Cloudy straw color, lots of lacing. Strong classic hefe flavor with wheat and a bit of spice.

On tap at the St. Louis brewpub, this came a very cloud yellow with and nice white head and good sticky lacing. Good nose of wheat and banana. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is classic hefe with a malty finish. Very nicely done.

Deep cloudy yellow. Respectable white head. Aroma of hickory and strong, pure grain amber wheat. The flavor is delicious and is like incredibly flavorful wheat malt with a hint of sugar and banana and clove. The beer is full and refreshing. The carbonation is medium high and enjoyable. It’ not over the top. The finish resembles woody resin and malt.
